Svetlana's voice kept echoing in my ears back to back. For a moment it felt like my surroundings had turned into pin drop silence and only her voice could be heard.
To me, the sound of her laughter felt like that irritating viral laugh audio you have heard on social media, annoying and full of cringe. It seemed as if she was laughing at me like I was some kind of dumb joke. It felt like my world stood still for a second. The information was too much for me to process at that moment.
