Chapter 5

A loud gasp echoed all over the hall. I could see the smile disappear not only on the face of my supposed groom but that on my backstabbing best friend. 

Everyone was too stunned to speak,  Kelly turned to me with crocodile tears. How well she plays the role of a best friend and a mistress at some time still baffles me, 

‘’What did he do? Cassie, he loves you’’ did she love him that much to be ready to help him at any cost to achieve his goals? She persuaded me without waiting for an explanation. Oh, she loves him that much to be ready to help at all costs to get his goat?

 “Cassie I don't know what you're talking about I have no one beside you, I have never cheated on you'' Cassandra hissed in annoyance and yanked his hand away from hers.

 She was no longer the naive girl who believed everything said they cheated on her together yet they protested and acted like they loved her. How pathetic

 “Kelly ….. I know how much I have been hurt but nothing hurt more than seeing you fuck my fiance. I don't have time for games just get away from me”. Cassandra's voice was calm and patient; the guests were all shocked as they stared at the both of them. With questionable eyes 

”What nonsense are you spouting Cassie“ I am your best friend Kelly cried yes she used to be but not anymore. Everything was on live TV, thanks to stepmother Laura Williams now the world was seeing who the two backstabbers were for real. Frank tries grabbing Cassandra but she pulls away from his reach.

’’I gave you all you ever wanted. I was the one to nurture your dreams and this is what you pay me back with? Why didn't I see this coming? I was there when no one was, I believed in you and made your problems mine. I know I had sleepless nights when you were not okay. 

How can this all happen? You have always supported her and taken her side in everything, at first I thought it was just because she looked pitiful but how could I have known you were busy fucking her behind my back, how could I not see how much you love her?’’ Cassandra held on to the hem of her dress dragging it before the projector. 

‘’You got nothing to prove Cassie. Why not stop now? You know Frank will still get married to you even with the show you are putting up”’ Every Word from Kelly’s mouth only fielded Cassandra's anger even more. Yes, he was still going to wed her because he needed something, they were both ready to wrap everything under dozens of papers just so they could get their hands on her wealth. 6 years of her life would not be wasted yet again. 

‘’He loves you and you know it,’’ Kelly added. Every word from her mouth was fast pushing Cassandra to have her head banged to the cold hard tiles filled with white petals till it was all red and bloody.

 ‘’Show me the evidence you have that I am cheating with your man? Cassandra Willaims we have been friends for such a long time and I do believe some jokes have ended. 

You better stop and continue with your wedding or if you are calling it off do not use me as a way out of it’’ Kelly lashed out angrily, Cassandra was enjoying just how good she was at acting. Seeing the both of them comfort each other despite her claims was enough to make her want to destroy them to bits. 

‘’Evidence, well that's not hard since I have tons of it. Which do you want us to watch first, the night you fucked him in my room? Or better still the night you fucked him when we were on a business trip. 

Well, it's okay I'm better… why don't we watch the most recent which was only a few minutes ago, I sent you to call on him and check if he is okay. Still, I do not remember telling you to check up on his dick did I?’’ Cassandra stood by the monitor as she manipulated it. 

‘’Baby please… don't do this you know I love you the most’’ Frank pleaded as he pushed her away from the monitor. Every word she said was too accurate. For her not to know what she was talking about. Seeing him with another will destroy his life and that of the woman he loves most. Frank was not willing to let anything happen to his mistress.

 ‘’Why? I know you don't want me to play it, but youre rather too stupid to think I won't have thought of this.’’ Cassandra smirked, taking out the control from underneath her dress. Frank and Kelly had no time to react as their moans filled the air. Everyone watched with shock and amusement. 

‘’What is this, take it down. Babe I can explain, take this down’’ Frank screamed at the staff but no one knew how it was played. Kelly tried her best to disconnect everything while Cassandra just stood still and watched them. It was finally time she let them know she was not going to go down that path again. 

Their paths were certainly going to cross again. Now she had no best friend but enemies, she just made herself known to her enemies. Crashing sounds came from the front, a flock of cars of every brand and color lined outside.

 Everyone gave way as a man stepped out. Carlson Cobswell stepped out taking a quance before walking inside as guards guarded his path. The most desirable bachelor in the country, every lady wants him. 

While others fainted at the mere sight of him, some drooled uncontrollably. Kelly and Frank stood not knowing what was happening. Extending his hands to his bride, Cassandra smiled proudly. 

“‘Time for play is up Mrs Cobswell, hubby is here for you’’ Cassandra blushed hard as their hands touched, he was indeed a gentle man. Taking one glance at the cheating couple Cassandra gave them a last warning. 

“Cheaters will never have happily ever after’’
