My breath hitched as he cut me off. Suddenly everything stopped, the rushing feeling in my ears stilling to nothing.

“You…what?” I shook my head, unable to believe it.

Was it just my imagination? He'd said…he believed me?

I stood in place as he stepped towards me.

“I believe you Eva. I've known you for the past six years haven't I?” He asked, taking another step closer.

“I've seen how willing you are to put in the hard work. I've seen how you refused to ask for help, afraid and eager to prove yourself. I've seen your quick wut, how you adapt so quickly and grow, gain confidence and beat others in their game.” he said.

As he spoke, I found nothing but sincerity in his eyes, a small smile written on his face.

“I've seen tasks thrown your way, some of them I did myself and yet you proved yourself each and every time, making me fall for you with every win. I saw you overcome difficulties despite the scars in your hearts to get to where you are now.”
