CHAPTER NINETY _ FIVE

"What do I owe this visit?" Clifford asked as he walked down the stairs. He had this bright look on his face, and a natural smile was glued to his lips.

He walked up to them and sat on the couch that faced them, and they both stood up and bowed in front of him.

"Greetings to you, sir Clifford," Henry greeted. He was the only one who did an oral greeting.

"Have your sit." Clifford offered them a seat.

The both of them sat back in their various positions. Clifford looked around the table and wondered why they were both fidgeting, and Mercy's face didn't look bright at all.

"Why are your throats dried up? Did my workers not offer you anything yet?" Clifford asked.

Mercy wondered why he was shorn so brightly and why he had time to tease and joke around when his daughter had been arrested by his wife.

"You both seem really nervous. I hope you both are fine?" Clifford asked.

Mercy wondered if he was pretending that he didn't give an idea about what his wife did
