IVYI followed the light, and it opened up my eyes. For a couple of seconds, I laid still, listening to the only sounds around.My heart beat, and a beeping sound.When the beeping sound became hard to dismiss, I finally moved my body, facing sideways.That move, albeit slight, caused some blurriness to my vision, and lightweightness in my head.I knew I was conscious, but I couldn't fathom anything else.The blurriness cleared up, and I saw a monitor.That was where the beeping sound was coming from. It was the monitor.After this realization came the need to understand where I was, and how I arrived here..To discover both, I had to open my mind, and just relax.I did so by letting go, and closing my eyes.At first, nothing happened. It was all blank in thoughts and memories.Then the door opened, and my eyes flew open when the scent of jasmine wafted into my nose.“I see eyes opened. You're awake, like I knew you'd be,” a cheerful voice said, approaching me.I didn't recognise the

“Princess,” Vladimir muttered again, purely out of desperation now.An adrenaline rush pushed him towards her, and gave him the much needed strength to not only rise up to his feet, but also carry her into his arms.He swiftly exited the jet, at the same moment a car came to a stop before him.His pilot, the captain, ran out of the car. “Son! I'm here, son!”Vladimir, cradling Ivy's body in his, didn't want to let go.Firmly, he held on to her, as he walked to the backseat of the car.“I called Yasmin already. She's expecting us,” the captain filled him in, as he gently placed Ivy's unconscious body into the backseat, before jumping in himself.The captain shut the door, and headed for the driver's seat.As he drove off, Vladimir held on to Ivy.The rage he felt before had dissolved into concern now.Concern so great, he found himself staring at her unconscious body.There was a pulse.
