In the afternoon, Renee found Mark and told him, "It's getting boring here in the manor. Can I go sightseeing in the city?"

"Oh, yes, yes, yes. It's about time," Mark said, beckoning at Yvie. "Take her to town. She's not used to this place, and she could use a walk. You can buy anything she likes, since you can claim it as expenses."

Yvie nodded respectfully. "Yes, Mr. Whitley."

Renee despised Yvie, but if she had to pick someone as company among these people, she'd pick Yvie.

Hence, she went downtown with Yvie, while 'Hank' sat in the backseat with her.

Even though 'Hank' was her chauffeur, it didn't make sense when it was his first time here and he didn't know the place.

They arrived downtown twenty minutes later, and it was bustling with life, the many towering buildings decorated in myriad lights.

It felt no different from home and certainly did not lose out to it, and Renee would feel right at it if not for the foreign faces.
