AURORA'S POV

“You should have seen him Finn," he was so hot," I said excitedly as I lay on Finn's bed in his dorm room.

“Uh-uh," he replied non-committal as he typed away on his phone.

It had been three days since I resumed college and apart from move-in day, this was the first time Finn and I were seeing each other face to face.

He had been busy with classes and practice, that we hadn't really had time to see and debrief each other about our life updates.

“He had eyes so green, they remind

JARED'S POV I laced up my shoes and then I ran my hands through my hair as I was getting ready for my date with Aurora. Honestly, after what happened yesterday, I was just glad she still wanted to go with me. After Rebecca got home and told me what happened, I was furious. I tried to go looking for those wolves but as Rebecca mentioned, I didn't know what they looked like. I don't think I had ever been so angry. How dare those wolves come into my territory and try to terrorize me and mine? Harassing any wolf in my territory, no matter their relationship to me is always going to count as harassment to me. I hope for their sakes they're long gone because if I get a whiff of them, they forfeit their lives. I put wolves all around the perimeter of the school and the town. They're on the lookout for them. Rebecca gave the description. I tried to not think about that now. I was going to be hanging out with Aurora and I was excited. I hope she was as excited although I didn't see how t

AURORA'S POVI took a look in the mirror, admiring myself. I was dressed in a polka dot halter neck crop top and matching Capri set. On my feet were a cute pair of open toed heels. I wondered whether to wear my hair up or down. The door opened and Chris walked in. I had to refrain from rolling my eyes. When I started college, I anticipated bonding with my roommates and being besties with them. Chris, however, made that very difficult. She always had boys in the room either smoking or having sex or sometimes she had all kinds of sketchy people over. As someone who grew up in orphanages and group homes, I had my fair share of sketchy people and I wasn't trying to go back. “You look nice," she said, “you've got a date?"“Thank you," I responded, “and no. I'm meeting a friend."Chris nodded and landed on her bed, face first. I went back to looking at myself and finally decided to put my hair in a messy bun, leaving strands out to frame my face. It took a few days but Rebecca and I fi

JARED'S POV I sat in my room, my laptop on my desk as I attempted to get started on my now piling mountain of homework and essays due. You'd think that being in my third year, I would have less homework but that's not the case. Anyway, technically, my homework wouldn't be piling up if I hadn't neglected it to research Rory. Ever since Albert mentioned the possibility of her being a dormant, him and I had been trying to do research to find out her origins. So far, we had been as lucky as someone attempting to find a needle in a haystack. It didn't help that all I knew about her was her name. I didn't know her last name and unfortunately, neither did Rebecca. We had no luck and it was annoying. I didn't want to text her and ask what her last name was, I felt it would be weird. She would know I was researching her and I didn't want to freak her out and have her running for the hills thinking she's met a creep. I turned back to my computer. Why did I have this much homework? We onl

He had been busy with classes and practice, that we hadn't really had time to see and debrief each other about our life updates. “He had eyes so green, they reminded me of emeralds," I said. “You have never seen emeralds Ror," he replied, still not looking at me. “I've seen videos and pictures Finn. Don't be mean. I know what emeralds look like," I scoffed in reply. He gave another non-committal shrug as he still wouldn't look at me. In annoyance, I threw a pillow at him which he aptly dodged. I hated how his reflexes were so good. He wasn't even paying attention yet he still avoided the projectile and it had always been like this with him. “Finn Dav

JARED'S POV Peaches and honey, that was what she smelled like. I could still feel the scent wrap around me like a comforting blanket as I started the car. I really didn't want to leave her but I had to get to the pack house. I now understood what Rebecca meant when she said she was raised human and I needed to find out how that was possible. Wolves typically didn't leave their pups in the care of humans. I knew she was a wolf. Hell, if she wasn't, she wouldn't be my mate but somehow I didn't think she knew that she was or even knew wolves existed.Either that, or she was pretending but I could get the sense that she wasn't. She was nothing but open during our date, if you could call it that. Ironically, her mind wasn't open to me this time. I tried to search her mind for information about her but she must have been blocking me. I wasn't upset though. I liked a challenge and it just meant I had to learn about her the old fashioned away. Aurora consumed my mind and it was a wonder

AURORA'S POV“It's you!" I said then mentally facepalmed. What the hell was that? Why would I say that?He chuckled at that and I swear it sounded like he was a god or something, not that I knew what gods sounded like but I bet they'd sound like him. He looked ethereal. He was dressed in straight leg dark wash jeans and a white tee. He had on a matching denim jacket over the look and on his feet were some black sneakers. He accessorized his look with a simple silver chain on his neck. He had on some matching silver bracelets on his wrist and he had on rings on his index and middle finger on one hand and the index finger of the other hand. His dark hair fell messily in front of his face and I had to resist the intrusive thoughts that were telling me to run my fingers through it. He was beautiful, a lot more beautiful than I remembered and he was sitting in front of me with a smile that made my stomach do summersaults. “The name's Jared. Jared Grey. Third year student here at NorthV
