Not hoping...

A blinding light from the window woke me up, it wasn't just a nightmare that happened to me but real. I immediately shifted my attention to the sofa on the side, hoping that Craig would still be there but I was disappointed.

"Oh, you're finally awake." That's the word I heard when the door opened, it was Mom carrying some Tupperware, "how are you feeling?"

She's talking to me but her eyes are not looking at me, I feel and know the reason but I want to hear from her, myself. I also want to hear words from her similar to what Craig said to me yesterday.

"I'm talking to you, why don't you answer? Do you think you have the right to treat me like that because I ordered you to go on that blind date? Do you also blame me like your father?!” Her eyes looked at me angrily, even her voice rose a little.

Like me, even Mama was surprised by what she did, she went back to preparing the food she brought to the small table. "Eat now, the doctor said you can be discharged later."
