Doctor's Report (Bonus Chapter)

3RD POV:

THE SAME DAY:

Jenny stared at a picture longer than the other pictures with a feeling of nostalgia but she lacked memories of that house, or even Mary. It seemed like such a bad joke but the receipts were intact to prove everything. In her photo, her parents were sitting on beach chairs in front of a house and both Mary and Jenny were grinning from ear to ear, sitting next to both their parents in swimming trunks.

“This looks so unreal.” Jenny chuckled weakly, keeping her eyes on the picture. It was definitely her parents, she recalled her father's affectionate eyes, her mother's smile which had been lost after a while and she recalled the young version of herself as she had seen in albums.

“I understand that.” Mary said in reply, folding her arms across her chest and still staring at Jenny with an emotionless facial expression but her heart was racing but she was good at hiding her nervousness, which is how she had been feeling even before her plane took off.
