Few years later...

She went to a grocery store with her friend Rose.

Mrs Clifford who is presently her mother had sent her to get few groceries for the house.

"We need spinach too..." Melanie said pointing to the spot where spinach was, Rose helped her pick them into their basket.

"Hello..." a male smooth tone said from behind.

Melanie turned around looking a little suprised.

She couldn't remember any man ever wanting to talk to her especially when she was in school or in her neighborhood because of her sickness, she keeps forgetting and that is something most of them could not deal with.

Melanie couldn't have or keep a relationship and it was obvious, she was lucky having people like Rose, the maids and Mrs Clifford and his wife to cater for her.

As far as Melanie was concerned, Mr Clifford and his wife were her biological parents.
