Chapter 132 Don’t You Want Me, Mr. Stewart?

“What on earth do you want?!” Jane’s hands were clenched into fists. What else did this man want from her? “Mr. Stewart, look! Look at me carefully! What else do I have that a prince like you would need to waste your time on?!

“Tell me! Just tell me, and I’ll give it to you! All of it!” Why did he have to barge into her life again? What was he after? “Mr. Stewart! I’m no longer the Jane Dunn you once knew! Please know that!

“I can’t tell, I really don’t know why someone as rich and respected as you would need to waste so much effort on me. What part of me do you want?”

Everything started going to hell yesterday, and it somehow was not over yet even now. Susan Wilson had dragged her into the car and to that bullsh*t party, and then she met someone she should not have at that godforsaken house— Haydn Soros!

Haydn had stabbed his dagger into her chest, and she had barely had the time to pull it out before her own blood-related brother added another stab to the mix!

What about after that? After that, this man mysteriously appeared before her and did a ton of mystifying things. She did not understand what he was doing anymore, and she was tired of trying to understand.

Even if she was nothing but cattle to them, livestock to be slaughtered… They should still at least give her time to breathe! Even a butcher would not kill livestock by plunging one knife into their prey and immediately following up with another cleaver without even pulling out the first… It was all such a mess!

Everything was a mess!

‘Sean Stewart, why did you have to stick your hand into this mess and make it worse?!

‘Scold me, hit me, look down on me, taunt me! Just don’t force yourself into my life without a reason like this… I’m begging you!

‘I’m begging you, stop tormenting me… It’s enough! I’ve had enough!”

She kept her head lowered, her voice rough and raspy. All of a sudden, she chuckled from somewhere deep inside her chest. “Mr. Stewart, I considered every possibility, but all I have left is this broken body… If you don’t mind, Mr. Stewart, you can have it.”

It did not matter. Her soul was already dead, so what use was this stupid body?

She raised her head slowly, looking at him slowly, holding up her hand slowly. Everything she did was almost in slow-motion. Riip! There was the sound of cloth tearing. Right in front of Sean, she began to undress.

Sean felt a stabbing pain in his chest and was about to stop her, but the moment he met her eyes, his feet were rooted to the spot. He could not move.

One garment after another, she gradually lost the protection of her clothing as he continued to stare, revealing her naked body, decrepit and dreadfully skinny. She did not cry. In fact, there was not a single tear in her eyes, only a numbness that did not suit someone her age at all. “Look carefully, Mr. Stewart, sir. Is there any part of this body that interests you? Take it all. I’m just sorry to tell you that this useless body isn’t complete either. It’s one kidney short.”

Sean’s eyes had been fixed intently on Jane’s. He could not move his feet, but neither could he pull away his eyes. It was only when she said that she was “one kidney short” that he paused and slowly moved his gaze downward, where it settled on her left waist.

“Stop playing with me. What do you want? Just take it all. Once you’ve had your fill, stop disturbing me.” She closed her eyes numbly, with an expression that said, ‘Do whatever you want with me’... ‘It’s alright,’ she told herself. It did not matter.

Step step, step step… The footsteps approached her until that man was standing right in front of her. Although her eyes were closed, Jane could still clearly sense him. She kept her head steady and clenched her teeth.

Something fell over her shoulders. She trembled and opened her eyes, wordlessly looking at the coat he had covered her with.

She then raised her head and looked at him, her eyes filled not with gratitude but an even deeper despair… She knew this man, which was why she did not understand what could warrant so much time and effort on his part. Why was he so adamant about playing this game with her?

She slowly raised her head, just as quietly lowered it again, and then raised it once more. She repeated that cycle three times before she finally made up her mind, gritting her teeth and stretching out her arms. Without even blinking, she threw her arms around the man’s neck. The entire time, her body shook.

“Don’t you want me, Mr. Stewart?” As soon as she said that, her entire neck turned bright red, and an unspeakable sense of shame filled her chest. She had learned that line by watching another woman flirt with a middle-aged man in the client’s room.

However, there was no way she could replicate that woman in how parted her seductive red lips… Even so, this was already more painful to her than getting on her knees.

Sean’s pupils dilated imperceptibly, and his throat bobbed. He could feel something else reacting too, and he silently swore to himself, ‘Damn!’ On the surface, though, he was calm as he peeled Jane off his body and reached out his slender fingers to do up her buttons, one at a time. His expression showed nothing as he said, “Five minutes have passed. You only have ten left to pack your things.”

Jane blinked, looking somewhat dazed and confused. “Why… All I have left is this body, so why?”

She had taken the initiative, so why did he push her away?

She could not figure it out at all. What else did she have to give him? If he did not want this body, what… could he be after?

She stood frozen to the spot, lost in her thoughts for ten whole minutes.

The man next to her did not hasten her either.

“Time’s up.” That was all he said as he pulled Jane into his arms. The next moment, his arm moved downward and secured her waist, dragging her forcefully out of the door.

In an instant, Jane awoke from her stupor, turning white as a sheet. She fought against him, saying, “No, Mr. Stewart, I don’t want to go! Please, I’m doing quite well living on my own, I mean it, honest. I’m begging you, I don’t want to move out.”

She refused to leave, but with her strength, how could she possibly outpower a man?

Begging did not work, so she cursed him angrily, “Sean Stewart! You’re forcing me! You’re trespassing into private property! Kidnapping! You’ll be charged in court for this!”

Before she could even finish her rant, he gave her his phone. “Take it. Call the police.”

“...” She had done everything she could. She had begged, lowered her head, yelled at him, and yet he refused to lose his temper… He was being frighteningly rational!

“What on earth are you up to?” She had tried everything in her arsenal, and none of it worked.

Jane felt an unprecedented sense of helplessness, and finally she just let her shoulders droop, asking him dejectedly. Her grating voice was not as pitiable as it sounded when she begged, and neither was it as fiery as when she berated him. All that was left was a bottomless despair… “Sean Stewart… I’m so tired.” Please…

‘Please just let me go.’

Her heart was exhausted and squeezed dry, filled with nothing but despair. It was as though being locked up in a dark room, surrounded by pitch-black darkness. You would not even know what was inside this room, what was next to you.

That was the sort of terror Sean Stewart invoked in her right now.

The sturdy arm trapping her waist shook for a second… because of the way she said, “I’m so tired, please…”

She did not say what she wanted from him, but he knew exactly what she was pleading with him for.

He shook his head. “No can do.” From the moment he realized that he had fallen for her, he was no longer able to let go and let her leave.

The only problem was that at this point, Sean still did not know that the harder you tried to grasp the sand in your fist, the faster it slipped out between your fingers. Or perhaps he did not know that, but he just instinctively believed that Jane Dunn always belonged to him and always would.
