Chapter 10: His pole

Regan walked down the hall, heading to the Archives. He wanted to find out why his wife didn't have a wolf. She was the first born daughter of an Alpha, making her an Alpha female, yet is weak and wolfless like an omega.

While male werewolves born into the royal line like himself are Alphas, females are known as Lunas. Other noble werewolves with almost powerful wolves as the Alpha's are called Beta. The Gamma's come next and they are mostly warrior,s although some betas are also warriors and some gammas are nobles too.

The weakest set of them is the omegas. They neither have wolves nor scents, they are just there, like regular humans. The only thing that diversified them from humans is the fact that they are born of werewolf bloodline.

As he walked towards the Archives, Regan couldn't help but be a bit afraid. Because the only explanation to Ivorie's predicament was that she was an omega.

Thinking about it alone made him scoff. He was mated to a total weakling.

He entered the Archives and ignored the greeting of the caretaker there. She was also an omega and she reminded him of how his wife was.

He searched through the several shelves, but didn't find anyone which spoke about the royal family tree of Moonbeam pack.

He grunted as he flipped through the books on the shelves, unable to find what he was looking for.

He rested his back slightly on a shelf and clutched his forehead in frustration.

How did he end up like this? First he was forced to marry an unknown woman from an enemy pack. And then it turned out that he was mated to her.

“Alpha,” he was jolted back to reality by a voice he recognized.

Estan walked into his view, glancing at the scattered books.

“What is it?” Regan grumbled.

“The rogues have arrived. It is time for them to be marked. Whenever you're ready Alpha.” Estan said.

Regan huffed and nodded. He tried standing straight but his hands knocked down some books from the shelf he was resting on.

He gave Estan a knowing look before walking away. Estan sighed as he watched him leave. He glanced at the scattered books and decided to rearrange them. While doing so, he found a book with the title ; PAST AND PRESENT ALPHAS OF MOONBEAM PACK.

After a few hours of work in the garden, Ivorie returned with Grace, her new handmaid, to her bedroom.

Estan had brought Grace to her earlier that day, and also told her she could have the garden to herself.

She was so happy, but shocked as well. She didn't know why the beta will gift her a garden just like that. But she decided not to think much about it, she just wanted to enjoy her stay as much as she could.

Now she must take another shower. Grace helped her undress and put on a clean robe. She went with her to the bathing room.

“You should go and take your bath too,” Ivorie said to the handmaid.

The latter bent her head, “That isn't necessary, Luna. I can have my bath later.” She objected.

“No, have it now. You would feel uncomfortable with all that dirt on you. That could make you stink.” Ivorie cajoled as she washed her body.

The handmaid remained silent for a moment. She then dropped the bar soaps in the tray beside the bathtub and walked out of the room.

The Luna had her bath silently. She was busy squeezing her hair of water when she noticed a ripple in the water at the other end of the bathtub.

Her brows furrowed as she stared at that particular place. ‘Is someone else in the shower with me?’ Ivorie asked herself in thought.

It must be something else, who would dare sneak into the Luna's bath?

She stood up in the water and walked to the direction of the ripple. The water only got to her waist level and her entire upper body was exposed.

Just as she neared the rippling area, she spotted someone resting at the other end of the wall.

“Hey, what are you doing?” She asked, anger fueling in her.

The person didn't answer and this got her angrier. She walked closer to the person only for her to see Regan sitting quietly in the bathtub.

Ivorie was shocked, she almost fell back into the water. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be sleeping.

“Why is he sleeping in the bath?” She asked herself, slowly walking towards him.

As she got closer to him, she couldn't help but admire his exposed body part. His chest was wide and swollen, his taut nipples giving it more beauty. The water made his body glint under the little sun rays that sipped into the room through the slightly opened window.

As she closed in on him, he still didn't open his eyes. She decided to wake him up by herself.

Just as she was about to touch him, his eyes snapped open and a growl escaped from his lips.

This action made Ivorie startled and she jumped back. She lost balance and immediately fell forward, right into Regan's arms.

The latter caught her by the waist and shoulder, turning her around so that he was on top of her.

Ivorie who had shut her eyes opened them slowly, her gaze met Regan's and she stared into his dark blue eyes. No, Ivorie noted, one of his eyes was dark blue while the other was actually a deep red colour. He had different eye colours!

She was dazzled by this feature that she had forgotten how tight and close Regan was holding while they were both completely naked.

“Are you going to keep staring or you tell me why you were sneaking up on me?” The Alpha smirked.

As if waking up from a nightmare, their position instantly dawned on Ivorie and she pushed her husband off while screaming.

She backed away from him, suddenly feeling insecure and her hands wrapped around her breasts.

“No need to hide anything, wife. I already saw everything while you snuck up on me.” Regan said as he rested his back on the wall.

Ivorie's face flushed as she glowered. “Why didn't you tell me you were here?” She asked in an angry tone.

“Why should I?” He asked in response. “This bathtub belongs to both of us, wife. Alpha and Luna.”

“I don't want it that way, I want my own personal bath.” She demanded stubbornly.

A smirk curled up Regan's lips. “What do you want everyone to think? The Luna doesn't feel comfortable sharing a bath with her husband?”

“I don't care what everyone says.” She maintained defiantly.

“Why are you making a fuse over something so trivial?” Regan asked, genuinely confused. “Is this your first time sharing a bath with an opposite gender?”

“No!” Ivorie lied, “I’ve shared baths with men so many times.”

“Oh so you are admitting that you’ve been with so many men.” Regan said with a smirk.

“No, that is…argh, I'm leaving!” Ivorie barked with frustration.

It was then she realised that that too was a difficult thing to do in this situation.

She couldn't swim across the bath because…she couldn't swim. And if she stands to walk, she would be exposing a great portion of her body to this husband of hers.

She grunted angrily as she tried to push herself in the water. She cautiously moved past Regan's front, hoping she wouldn't fall.

But luck wasn't on her side that afternoon, she lost balance in the water and tilted to the side. She couldn't use her hands to balance herself as she was using them to cover her breasts, so she fell right into the water.

As she struggled to get out, she saw a long pole in front of her.

She immediately grabbed the pole for support but felt the pole twitch. She looked down immediately but gasped as she realised that the pole looked funny. 'Wait, Is that Regan's... '
