Chapter 42 Neil Tells the Truth

Jude's pupils shifted before he slowly looked away from Audrey.

He looked like he didn't want to hear anything from her.

Scarlett had no mood to deal with the woman who had appeared out of nowhere. With bloodshot eyes, she watched as Jude abruptly coughed up a copious amount of blood. Her expression changed and she became nervous.

"Please hang on, Jude. If you dare to die, I'll... I'll hate you for the rest of my life!"

The man lying on the road chuckled, prompting more blood to flow out of his mouth. His smile was so unpleasant that her eyes turned red. "You were the one who said to start over, Jude. Are you going back on your word now?"

Jude's lips moved but couldn't produce any sound. Still, the shape of his mouth made it obvious that he was saying, "Don't cry."

Scarlett cried even harder.

"I'm not sad, not at all. There... There's nothing between us anymore. The past is the past, so if you die now, I won't shed any tears for you, not a single tear!"
