CALLUM’S POV

“Mia! Mia! Wait up!” I yelled out immediately we left ARTFOLD’S room.

She halted in her steps, turning back to meet me with a frown set on her face. I walked up to her and stopped right in front of her, taking deep breaths in to catch the ones I’ve lost from quick walking to her.

“What’s wrong?”

“You…you seem…you seem annoyed,” I started, still breathing in and out heavily. “You seem annoyed when he said that, and shocked. I just wanted to tell you I’m very sorry about what he said. I didn’t think he’ll notice that we’ve been together lots of times.”

She folded her hands underneath a breast, the first sign of a great disaster. Her lips moved in a circle, her tongue swiping around in her mouth as she eyed me precariously, “tell me, you didn’t tell him about me? Or…

“Let me put it this way, are you embarrassed to tell the alpha that you’re mated to me?”
