Chap_7

Kathleen's P.O.V.

.

Though I called to say no, hearing Rose's cheerful tone, I didn't get myself to make her cry again and spoke up against my own decision, "Yes. I will."

Hearing me, she uttered excitedly, "Really!"

I replied smilingly, "Like really. " and she started shouting, "Mom, Dad.. Aunt will come here. Yaay!"

Then I heard her father saying, "Rose, stop jumping around, Princess. You will get hurt."

"Dad, Aunt said that she will come here." Rose said that happily again and I heard him saying, "Great. Now let me talk to her."

"Okay. Talk to her." saying this, Rose might have handed the phone to her father as I heard him, "Thank you, Kathleen. Thank you very much. You made my Princess so happy by saying yes. I am really grateful to you, sister."

"It's okay. You don't need to thank me." I said to him politely.

Then he again spoke up, "Are you coming tomorrow? Tell me your address. I will send a car to pick you up."

I refused that saying, "It's not necessary, Mr. Ace. I will manage. Just give me your address."

He gave me their address and I uttered, "Okay, Mr. Ace. I will be there tomorrow at 5 by afternoon."

"Okay. But if you don't mind then call me Brother. I mean you can consider me as your brother. I told you, right?"

Hearing him, my expression changed as I uttered whispering, "Brother?"

"Right. I think it would be better than calling me as Mr. Ace. By the way give your father 'thanks' on behalf of me for approving you to teach my daughter. He helped me to maintain my image of a father."

I couldn't bear to hear him any longer. So I cut off the line saying, "Bye."

Cutting of the line, I kept thinking about Rose for a good time. The childhood days of mine started flashing in front of my eyes.

My father never wanted me. He was happy with my brother, Nathan. My eyes started getting watery. Giving my thought a break, I laid down on the bed and kept thinking about the things that happened today. From all the things something bothered me.

Jeni was behaving somewhat oddly today. I didn't bother forcing her to tell me about that as I was afraid she would get angry with me. She is the only friend of mine. Though I couldn't be able to open up with her fully, I didn't want to lose her.

I thought she would tell me about it by herself but she didn't do that yet this time.

We have completed our exams for the last semester. Within 15 days result is supposed to be out.

As I don't have any class or exam now, I won't be meeting Jeni for these days then. The thought came to my mind and I immediately got up and thinking like, "No, I have to talk to her.", I took my phone and called her.

But she didn't answer it. Maybe she was asleep. So I thought of leaving a message for her, "I want to meet you tomorrow. See you at your favourite cafe at 4:30 PM."

Keeping the phone on the table, I again laid down on the bed and started thinking of possible reasons for her odd behaviour. Being like this, I didn't know when sleep consumed me.

Jeni's P.O.V.

I was sitting on the sofa in the living room with a fallen face. Dad and Mom were trying to convince me to go abroad for higher studies.

I was lost in my thoughts when my phone rang off. Mom told me that my phone was ringing. Seeing the caller ID, I looked at her sadly.

Mom then asked me, "Who is it?" and I replied in a lower tone, "Kathleen."

Hearing me, she again spoke up, "Attend the call then. By the way did you tell her that we are leaving?"

"Mom, how am I supposed to tell her this? You know how much time and efforts it took me to befriend with her? She used to be all alone Mom then. Other than me, she has none to be called as a friend still now."

"Jeni, it's about your career, your future dear. And we are leaving this country, we just can't leave you alone here behind, right? Talk to Kathleen and if possible, ask her to go with us for higher studies. It will be good for her also."

Nodding at her sadly, I got back to my room. The line was already cut. I was thinking whether I should call her back. Then I got the text from Kathleen, "I want to meet you tomorrow. See you at your favourite cafe at 4:30 PM."

While thinking what should I tell her, I lied on bed and eventually fell asleep.

Alina's P.O.V.

.

Ace and I were sitting on the sofa in the living room and Rose was jumping around happily since she heard, Kathleen will be coming here. Thanks goodness that Kathleen agreed otherwise my little girl would be sitting now with a fallen and crying face.

If she wasn't that severely allergic, I would have taken her to the park to meet her from time to time. Thankfully, she is fine this time but last time she fell so sick that doctor strictly told us to keep her away from dust.

And in the park all she starts jumping around in dust. I was afraid that Kathleen would say no and my little girl would cry to sleep today. But seeing her happy face, I felt relieved now.

Though I didn't get bothered about what Adrian said, I kept thinking what is the problem of my brother.

I want him to settle down in his life but I never found him hanging out with a girl let alone dating or loving someone. I have to do something about him.

My thought got interrupted when Ace poked me and said, "Where are you lost?"

I glanced at him and said, "I am thinking about Adrian. I just don't understand what his problem is."

"Why? What did he do now?" He asked me with a casual tone as if I was worrying for nothing.

I gave him a glare and started saying, "You know when I told him about Kathleen, all he kept saying she might be a bad girl, why did I let Rose meet her bla bla.."

"You know how protective Adrian is around our princess! That's why he is worrying. What's so big deal with this?"

Hearing Ace, I shook my head and spoke up again, "You are not getting my point. The thought of Adrian towards girls is bothering me. I want him to meet a good girl and settle down but it seems he is allergic to girls as Rose is allergic to dust."

Hearing me, he laughed out only to get a death glare from me and got stopped at once. Then he spoke up, "Alina, let him handle his life his way. He will meet the girl who he is destined to meet. Maybe it is taking some time."

"This way the some time of yours will never come to an end. How long my brother will go on living like this!"

"I am understanding your concern but we can't force him anyway." He spoke up with concerned voice.

"I know but we have to do something about this." I was speaking out of concern but then Ace uttered whispering with the least of interest, "I don't want to get involved with this something of yours. Between you two siblings, I don't want to get sandwiched. Either way, I will be in trouble just."

Hearing him when I spoke up while glaring at him, "What did you just say?"

He looked at me and stood up at once and got near Rose and said, "Let's go, Princess. It's time to sleep now."

Looking at him, Rose nodded happily.

Taking Rose, he left from the living room saying with a little bit of smile, "I am taking her upstairs."

It was pretty late at night. Thinking Adrian must be back home, I called him.

Adrian's P.O.V.

.

Coming back to my place, I took a quick shower and went downstairs. I made a black coffee and taking that, I got back to my room.

Standing by the poolside, I was sipping the coffee when my phone rang off.

Seeing the caller ID, I immediately answered the call and spoke up, "Hey, big Sis."

"What are you doing?" She was sounding happy.

So I asked her being curious, "Sipping my black coffee. What's the matter? You are sounding very happy like something good happened."

She started with the same happy tone, "Yes. Actually Kathleen agreed to teach Rose and she is very happy about it. So" but got interrupted by me, "I knew it. Why would she miss this opportunity to enter Knight Mansion!"

Hearing me, Alina got a little bit of angry and spoke up, "Adrian, you are being too much now. Kathleen didn't even know us before all this. And about you, on the basis of what you are going on to portrait her in a bad way? Do you even know her except her name that also you have happened to know from us?"

Hearing her, I understood that the girl, Kathleen already got on her good side that wouldn't change easily and I was not feeling good about this. Though I wasn't convinced hearing her, I got silent.

When I didn't utter any word, she spoke up with a concerned tone, "Adrian?"

"I am listening." I answered in a lower tone.

"Adrian, I didn't intend to hurt you. You know that very well."

Hearing her, I spoke up, "I know. It's okay. By the way, how's Ace doing? I didn't get to talk to him lately."

"He has been busy in handling two companies lately. Anyways how's your project work going?"

"Good. It will be done within few days. I will be back home by this month." Hearing me, she got excited and asked me, "Really?"

I replied smilingly, "Yeah."

Hearing me, she said happily, "That's really great, dear. Finally the few days of yours are coming to an end."

"Well, you should take rest now. I need to work now." I spoke up as I got back to my laptop.

Api spoke up again, "Take your dinner on time, dear. Good night"

"Okay. Good night." I replied smilingly and cut off the line. I started to work on my project while uttering under my breath, "Now I have to complete my project and get back home as soon as possible. I can't let that girl taking advantage of my family."

Little did he know what was waiting for him there....!
