OLIVIA‘S POV

It wasn’t until the third unfamiliar turn that my heart started to pound.

The streetlights here flickered in a pattern I didn’t recognize, and the roads felt too empty, too quiet. I had memorized the routes to both my home and the packhouse by heart—not out of habit, but out of necessity. Survival had taught me to keep track of exits, to always know the way home. But this? This wasn’t either.

Frowning, I leaned forward a bit in my seat. “Dominic,” I said carefully, keeping my voice low so I wouldn’t alarm the kids, “where are you taking us?”

His hands stayed firm on the wheel, his posture relaxed, but his lips curled into that infuriatingly calm smirk that only made my nerves itch. “Relax, Olivia,” he said. “I’m not kidnapping you or the kids.”

That wasn’t funny.

My spine stiffened at the casual tone. “That’s not the question I asked,” I snapped.

He glanced sideways at me before returning his eyes to the road. “You didn’t want to come to the packhouse—I figured that out l

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 110 DEREK THE FLIRT

OLIVIA’S POVMy phone buzzed just as I was finishing up organizing the last of the old letters I found in my mother’s drawer. The faint smell of parchment and lavender still lingered, tugging memories from places I wasn’t ready to visit yet. I wiped my hands on my jeans and glanced at the screen.Derek.A small smile tugged at my lips before I even answered.“Olivia,” his voice greeted me, smooth and lazy, like he’d been waiting for me to pick up just to make my name sound important.“Yes, Derek?”There was a pause. Then, a breath.“I have a very serious situation,” he said solemnly. “Life and death, almost.”I sat down on the edge of the bed, already half-laughing. “Let me guess. You ran out of hair gel?”He gasped. “You wound me, woman. But no. Worse.”“Oh no,” I teased. “Did your fangirl club finally find out you actually read poetry in your free time?”He chuckled lowly. “You joke, but I do. And it is sexy.”“You’re stalling.”“I’m building suspense.”I rolled my eyes but couldn’t

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 109 THREADS OF TRUTH

OLIVIA’S POVThe silence in Dominic’s study was thick, heavy like a storm brewing just beyond the walls. I stood near the fireplace, the heat doing little to thaw the chill in my bones. Dominic was seated behind his desk, the flickering lamplight casting shadows across his features, making it hard to read him.I hated that.I hated how familiar this room was—how many decisions had been made here that changed lives. Now it was my turn to demand answers. My turn to make him listen. The only thing that has been bothering me is that he wants me to stay quiet.“I’m not here to fight,” I said quietly, breaking the silence. “But I have something we need to talk about. Now.”Dominic looked up slowly, his expression unreadable, jaw tense. “I figured you’d come.”I handed the vial from my pocket to him. “There are four more of these hidden in her room. It’s laced with wolfsbane and something else—something toxic enough to kill or manipulate and mild enough that it can’t be detected. She’s invol

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 108 THE UNVEILED SHADOWS

OLIVIA’S POVThe weight of the vial in my pocket felt unbearable now—far heavier than the tiny glass container should be. It pressed against my thigh like a curse, reminding me with every step of what I had discovered. The liquid inside shimmered faintly in the dim light of the hallway, a vile concoction that could shatter more than just Evelyn’s carefully constructed lies. It was evidence. Solid, damning proof of her betrayal. And I—of all people—held it.My fingers trembled as they brushed against the fabric of my coat, as if touching it might ignite the storm I was about to unleash. I should’ve felt empowered, triumphant even. But all I felt was dread. My stomach twisted in knots with every step I took toward Dominic’s study. This wasn’t just about Evelyn. It was about trust, betrayal, and the man who once broke my heart now claiming to love me.Dominic.Just the thought of him sent a jolt through my chest—an aching, confusing jolt I couldn’t name. We hadn’t spoken properly in days

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 107 THE VIAL OF TRUTH

OLIVIA’S POVThe knock was soft—so soft that for a moment I thought I imagined it.But then it came again, two quick taps, the secret signal.I rushed to the door and opened it just enough to peek through. There stood the Omega I had personally instructed to keep eyes on Evelyn. Her eyes darted nervously down the hall.“Come in,” I whispered urgently, opening the door wider. I made sure no one was in sight before locking it behind her.She stepped in quickly, her shoulders tense and face pale. She clutched something tightly in her hand.I noticed the tremble in her fingers before she opened her palm and handed it to me—a small glass vial with a faint greenish shimmer.“I found this in Evelyn’s room,” she whispered, barely loud enough for me to hear. “Hidden in the false bottom of her vanity drawer. It’s… the same kind of vial you described from that night.”I took it with trembling hands. The scent hit me first—earthy, bitter, with a strange metallic after-note that turned my stomach.

OLIVIA’S POVDominic left.Just like that.No confrontation. No explanation. Not even a glance in my direction.Did he really witness the kiss?If he had, wouldn't he have reacted? The Dominic I knew—the one who once ruled with passion and fury—would have lashed out, confronted us, and demanded answers. But this silence? It was unlike him.And yet, here I am, enveloped in a void of uncertainty.I should feel relieved. His absence should grant me the peace I've been craving. But instead, there's this gnawing emptiness, a hollow ache that refuses to be ignored. Why does his silence hurt more than any words he could have spoken?I find myself replaying moments in my mind—his lingering glances, the tension in his posture, the unspoken words hanging between us. Was there something I missed? A sign? A farewell? My heart is a battlefield of conflicting emotions. Guilt intertwines with confusion, longing dances with resentment. I chose to move forward, to embrace a future free from the chains

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 105 THE GROUNDING EFFECT

OLIVIA’S POVThe door clicked shut behind me with a soft thud, the kind that should have brought comfort… but instead, it dropped like a weight against my spine.I stood there, keys still dangling in my fingers, silence pressing in on me like fog. The house was quiet—too quiet. Not even the creak of a floorboard or the hum of the old heater. Just me. My thoughts. And the ghost of a kiss that still burned on my lips.Derek.Warm, steady, grounding. His touch had felt like reality, like safety. Like the answer I’d spent years searching for.But why did it still feel like I was unraveling?I stepped out of my shoes and walked deeper into the house. The dim hallway stretched ahead, familiar but foreign. Ever since I came back to this cursed pack, everything felt off balance. Tilted. Like I was walking on glass, bracing for it to shatter beneath my feet. Not from the pack’s cruelty—though that hadn’t disappeared. But from inside me.Because ever since I came back… I’ve been at war. Not wit
