LOGINKai’s POV
Returning to the field hockey pitch, my head keeps spinning. Each time I try to clear my mind, Dr. Liam keeps recycling. Each second on the pitch is an ounce of distraction.
I’m not gay but if this is what it takes to be normal, I won’t hesitate. Can’t just wait for tonight.
My heart radiates with pulsing tension as I run across the field chasing the ball, my fist tightly wrapped around my puck. It’s a rehearsal but I handle it like a competition.
All my wish is that this rehearsal will come to an end so I have to go meet Liam.
I gulp a heavy lump down my throat.
Anyhow, I have to focus. I force myself to.
A few minutes after the training by 6 PM, Cerise’s call rings on my phone.
“Hello, what’s up bae?” I say with a fit of anger knowing what she’s about to ask.
“Are you done with the training, can we have dinner together?”
A sigh nearly escapes my lips but I quickly pull it back, shaking my head with a twisted frown. “I’m sorry babe, something really important came up.”
“What’s that?” Her pitch raises high. Bile rises up my throat. I hate being controlled. I hate being stalked. I’ve always wanted to live a free, carefree life but Cerise seems to be the barrier against. I can’t refuse her, I only have to be with her as a prerequisite to become the Alpha.
I sigh finally in response. “Nothing serious.” I take the chance to think of what to come up with. Should I say pack duties, she will ask my dad and he will tell her I have none at the moment.
“Zonal Hockey Meet. I’m gonna be meeting with the stars from other packs.”
Silence spirals in. She’s got nothing to say. My lips twist in a fulfilled grin.
“We will meet tomorrow.” I drop a fake promise. Excuses never finish. I can get another for her.
From the dressing room, I slide into my car zooming off. Straight to Langley Grove, the reserved areas of the elites in the pack. My dad got me a holiday house here. This is the first time I’m inviting someone.
Dr. Liam.
What I want to talk with him needs seclusion. I know the stalkers are ever ready to see who I invite into my home especially now I’m engaged to Cerise. I sent him both the address and a private driver to pick him up from the hospital.
I put on nothing, just a transparent white shirt, long-sleeved but rolled up to my ankles, patrolling around the crystal grounds of the penthouse with phone in hand. From time to time, I check to see if Liam has sent a message or call.
My heart keeps beating in anticipation until the distant screech of tyres alerts me of his arrival.
I jump up from the pavement I’d sat, waiting.
I stride to the entrance of my magnificent penthouse, glaring at Liam with such an eagerness to have him in my living room and we start business but his eyes delve into scanning mode the moment he steps out of the black Lexus.
“Do you live here?” He stammers but I grin, lip tight.
“Yes-ss.” I reply a few seconds later. His eyes barely took a glance at me but at the perfectly lawned green field, luxury exterior. I step forward, closer for him to have a look.
“Urgh?” He steps back in shock and I widen my eyes.
“What’s it?” I feign a confused shock. The driver reverses, driving to the garage by the left. The staff here had been authorized to remain indoors.
Now alone with Liam, I stride carefully closer but he shifts back.
“What’s it?? Didn’t you always want me?” The moment those words leave my lips, I feel a rush of adrenaline. Anxious of his reaction. Furrowed eyes and slightly ached brows, I can tell he wasn’t expecting this.
“Come in!” I wave.
My wolf spikes with sudden motion, giggling with eerie fantasies. As I climb up the stairs of the house, my face flips to the left in a sideways glance from time to time. He’s watching, his eyes dropping from top to bottom.
My muscles stiffen.
“This way,” I lead around the T-junction of the first floor. Straight to the living room.
Liam’s lips drop wide, eyes gawking. “Don’t tell me you built or bought this house with your money?”
“My dad’s.” I cut in.
‘This isn’t what you came for, man!’
I point him to the massive, plush couch, clearing my throat to distract him from the view. Again, his eyes drops on me. A big frown forms on his face.
“What’s this? Why are you putting on this? To seduce me?”
I sexily flare my body before him, tracing my index finger from the top of my left cheek down, lower lip bitten. Exerting the same feminine energy I’ve been seeing from seductress.
I hated this but I wanted it. I couldn’t explain how two emotions roared at once.
“What did you want to say to me? Say it!” Liam dives into the business of the day right away.
I flinch my face away, finding this face too stern for such a business.
“Yes? I’m listening?” His voice turns hoarse, looming with authority.
“Do you care for a drink or food or anything?” I linger, watching his face. The flare of shock turns to disgust.
“What’s this place? Why don’t I see anyone?” He insists, taking a suspicious look before returning back to meet my mischievous grin. “Should I order for something, who’s bringing it to me?”
“Me.” I say with a grin.
“No! Never!!” He shakes his head furiously, turning round swiftly, making my heart dash with a sharp attack.
I rush to him before he reaches the door. “What’s it? What’s wrong? Please, I really do need to talk to you.” I cried out. He struggled with me.
“Planning to accuse me again?”
“Ahhh!” I gasp. He’s still thinking of this? And there’s no way he’ll still have this in mind and the offer I have in mind will work.
I have to soothe him, even going on a knee just to get his attention.
“Please…..Please, there’s nothing like that. There are security cameras everywhere.” I plead.
“Doesn’t matter. This one I’m not seeing people, I know they are there to grab a hold of me should I misbehave.”
Misbehave?
My cheeks flashes crimson red from the sound of the word. Random thoughts begin sailing into me, with a thousand and one ways I’d want him to misbehave with me.
Liam blinks in anger, rolling off me.
I suppress the grin that was building up. I manage to bring him back to the couch but his facial features don't relax.
“Say whatever you want to say and let me go.” He grits his teeth. “About your ED?” He turns.
I part my lips to respond, it's not it, when my phone vibrates with a call. I peer into the screen and it’s my dad, the Alpha.
“Hello dad.”
“Yes, my son. Where are you? Cerise is with me here, she says she misses you.” His voice looms over the room, the moment I realize and get to look at Liam but to meet with darkened eyes.
“Dad, I’m with……”
“No..no…no….noo.” He lip synches, flagging his palms.
“Why?”
He shakes his head.
“Who are you with?”
I have my reasons. “Dr. Liam, the best urologist at the pack hospital. I invited him for…..”
Liam is on a knee, begging. Frustrated. I grinned.
“Dad please beg him later to pay his best attention to me. I really need to be well.”
“Alright, I’ll tell him.” Dad promises.
“I’ll be back tomorrow.” I say, cutting the call before Cerise adds her voice.
“Why would you say that, even after begging you.” Liam lunges at me. “I left you, and you’re still trying to implicate me.”
“If you don’t want that happening, you better sit and listen to what I have to say.” I threaten, then lean over, close enough to get intoxicated by his wild berries scent.
“…….Agree.”
Liam stumbled back, flabbergasted while I grin, more mischievous.
“I need back up! I need back up at the pick-up!” He yelled at them to come to his rescue, while he continued to shoot. “We're trapped.” The minion he called told him. “They have us at gun points here.” Damian was shocked. That was indeed a humbling reality. He had been trapped and there was no way out indeed. He can't fall like this. His biggest plans are yet to enter into motion. To make it worse, just as predicted, his ammo got exhausted and he had to run away. They don't let him off. Roman jumps over the car and chases after him immediately.Roman had a gun too and shoots at Damian while he chases. Luck is however on Damian's side, the bullets going over him or by his sides. The policemen also chased after him, but he was ways faster than them. He has mastered the woods. When Roman's bullets get exhausted too, he throws the gun at Damian and this indeed gets him. It hits him straight on the head and he falls and rolls on the ground. Roman reaches him immediately and begins t
“Fuckkk!” I shook my head. “I'm doomed.” The door opened as we stepped close to the room and the Alpha flung me to the floor. I feel hard, crashing against the concrete floor. My wolf quickly sensed the stench of blood and slowly my eyes went up. “Goddess!” I screamed, crawling back. My man chained to the world, naked, head sunk low, breathing heavily with blood covering his entire body and face.I looked back to the door thinking Alpha Anderson would lock me here with him but instead he snapped his fingers. Loud footsteps came towards me. I looked to my side. Tall, hefty men, striding towards me with whips. “Strip!” They growled in unison, their voices sending my wolf nearly leaping away. “What's going on…..?” I intended to ask but before I could even, a slash landed hard on my back. “Ahhhh!” I yelled, scratching the spot to reduce the pain. The second man slashed me on my ass. “You think we're here to play with you?” The Alpha walked in with a smirk. “I can still remember w
Aiden’s POVI couldn't be happier in my entire life than now that Ace had officially made things clear. We were now lovers, his dad knew, the Pack knew, most people I sensed. Before Ace resigned, news must have spread from his place of work. Now, I stood over the window of my room, waiting for Ace to dress up and come over to take me to school. His routine every blessed morning. Staying here at the Pack house restricted us from sharing the same room but we were already making plans. When the door hit the door, I was already jumping up, leaping across the room with a radiant face to answer. My hands spread so wide as I opened in a bid to hug him only to freeze right away. Alpha Anderson. A massive shock captured my entire body. “What…..what are you doing here, Alpha?” “Come with me!” Saying nothing further, he grabbed my wrist painfully and dragged me off my room. “Please? Please, Alpha?” I began to beg. “What’s wrong? You haven't told me anything?” He turned, placing his finge
Liam’s POVCerise held a stiff face as I led her to her table. I smirked calmly. “Still angry with me. I'm trying to know how the wedding ceremony is going?” “Which wedding? The one you've spoiled?” She raised her eyes, rolling in disgust. “Who? If I did, would I ask you to come here?” She twisted her lips into a compromise. “You promised to make Cerise return to me if I give you a hundred millions dollars. At least I've given an eighty upfront, what have you done?” I blinked, thinking of what to say. How I'm gonna present it. “Well, let me tell the truth. Kai seems interested in me now but I really want him going back to you and the Pack. I'm okay, just after the money. As long as my mom and I are okay.” A series of claps came from the back prompting us to turn our faces. My body vibrated in deep shock seeing Kai. I sprang up right away.“What are you doing here?” “How did you know we’re here?” Cerise asked after me, both of us gawking our eyeballs out. He smirked. “So this is
Kai’s POVLiam hadn’t since returned to his room but preferred to sneak into mine, sitting over and gazing at me until I invited him over. “What do you want?” He said nothing. “Did you hear?” He asked to which I blinked my eyes. He gulped before his reply. “That your brother has denounced his status as heir of your father’s company?” I sprang up. “What? Why?” “Same reason as yours.” His tone came up sarcastic. My lips tightened, unable to speak. I frowned. “Because of your nephew?” I asked. “Yes, because of Aiden.” Ace was the one I had all hoped for, in case I have to leave being the Alpha of our pack one day but now he’s already showing signs of abdication. He had already begun. I jumped up from the sofa pacing around the room, one hand to my waist and the other bashing my forehead. “Fuckkkk!” I breathed uneasily. Liam stood up walking towards me, at the window where I stood, his hands over my shoulders. “Aren’t you happy for your brother?” His eyes graced mine, searching
Ace's POVThe rain had eased into a quiet drizzle, soft tapping against the windows like the city itself had exhaled. The apartment was still, dimly lit by the amber glow of a single floor lamp. Everything else—the chaos, the noise, the fear—was locked outside.Inside, only Aiden and I remained.I gently took Aiden’s hand and led him toward the bedroom. Our fingers intertwined naturally, like we've done it a thousand times in another life. No rush. No pressure. Just the kind of silence that felt sacred. The door clicked shut behind them, and I turned to face Aiden. My eyes roamed Aiden’s face like he was trying to memorize every detail—the curve of his lips, the way his lashes curled when he looked down, the small scar near his chin he got when he fell off his skateboard at sixteen.“Say something,” Aiden whispered, voice barely audible.I stepped closer, my thumb tracing the edge of Aiden’s jaw. “You’re handsome,” he said softly. “I don’t think I ever said that enough.”Aiden’s breat
