Chris had asked his lawyer to process marriage documents for him and Valerie. The second Chase released Valerie, she would sign the papers, making her his legal spouse and Chris would hand over everything to her, as his wife. The next thing would be making a public announcement. Any other attempt of sabotage, Chase would be the obvious suspect. Chris was going to beat Chase at his own game.

When Chase realized Valerie wasn’t going to leave Chris, he knew it was now a useless quest to torture her. The other prisoners who had visitors sat on the other side, talking to their visitors. Chris called Claire’s nanny. He had been glad to know that at least they were thriving. However Valerie had still not been found. Chris could barely eat since he had been thrown in prison. All he could do was watch his whole world crumbling down. He was clueless.
