Chapter 9

  She disappeared.

Jeric really didn\'t want to admit that under his nose, she just disappeared out of thin air.

The hospital said she was discharged. When he saw that the bed was empty, his heartbeat almost stopped. He was really relieved to know that she was gone.

But soon, anger swept through again.

  How dare she!

He hasn\'t given her permission nor signed the divorce agreement yet. Why should she escape his world with such peace of mind? Why should she leave him alone and suffer in pain?!

He tried to look for her. He rummaged through the entire city, but didn\'t find her. She disappeared along with Max without a trace. He doesn\'t know why he should feel so flustered.

\"Mr. Jones, Miss Beatrice is here.\"

The phone rang. He twisted his eyebrows when the door was already open before he could speak.

\"Jeric.\" Calling his name familiarly, Beatrice was wearing a sleeveless white cashmere dress today with a red coat on her arm, which perfectly outlined her protruding figure.

\"Why are you here again?\", he said in a dumb voice. He seemed a little impatient.

Beatrice was startled and immediately laughed, \"I know you must be in a bad mood today. Today is Xia\'s death anniversary. I want to pray for her. But after thinking about it, I know that you will definitely go, so it\'s better to be with you.\"

  \"Xia\'s death anniversary?!\"

For a moment of shock, his gaze fell subconsciously to the desk calendar aside. He encircled this day with a red pen to remind him dazzlingly but still he forgot it!

Suddenly, he seemed to remember something and turned to the drawer to get the car key. He then strode out the door as if he had forgotten Beatrice\'s presence in the room.

  \"Jeric...\"

Looking at his back blankly, Beatrice couldn\'t help but call out.

This sound called him back to his senses, turned to look at her and paused, \"Let\'s go.\"

With a smile on her face, Beatrice quickly chased him up. She naturally reached out to get his elbow. But before her fingertips could touch his clothes, he threw away her arms and took a stride then got out.

Biting her lip, she hurried to catch up, a little unhappy.

Jeric\'s car drove very fast. Beatrice, who was sitting beside him, wanted to say a few words to him. However, he looked serious while staring in front. The speed of the car was so fast that her heart was beating. When she came out, she could only hold the handle tightly, and sat there nervously.

The car stopped at the entrance of the cemetery and he quickly walked towards the cemetery without a word.

Beatrice hurriedly got out of the car, \"Jeric, are you going to buy a bunch of flowers for Xia?\"

  Is he in a hurry?!

Beatrice was puzzled in her heart. Seeing him anxiously, he didn\'t look like he\'s sad but rather anxious.

What is he worried about? What is he nervous about?

Jeric stopped quickly, turned around and stared at her for a while. She was overwhelmed. He walked towards the shops outside the cemetery, bought a bunch of white chrysanthemums and carried a bottle of wine and some fruit. Only a little bit of nature was restored.

\"Jeric, I know you care about Xia, but driving like that just now is really too dangerous. I don\'t think Xia wants you to be like this.\"

This time, she finally grabbed the corner of his clothes and then took the opportunity to hook her finger into his arm. The corner of her lips rose slightly and said, \"Let\'s go.\"

Xia\'s tombstone is located a little higher which is said to be better. She was buried with her parents. The location of the tomb to the burial was handled by him alone.

He will never forget it. On the day of the burial, Suzy knelt in front of the tombstone, crying into tears. She was still wrapped in bandages and her cheeks were still swollen. She looked ugly when she cried!

Lying on the ground are her parents and her sister. With the way she cries, there\'s a trace of regret, confession, and guilt. For him, in order to live, she pushed her own sister to death. He thought, he will spend his entire life hating her and will never forgive her!

Looking forward, the cold tombstone was cold even under the sun. The front of the monument was empty. A gust of wind rolled up the fallen leaves on the ground and drifted away in a whirl. His heart was also dead and silent.

That\'s silly! He actually thought that she would pray for them. How could a vicious and selfish woman like her come to pray for them? Now, she is afraid to show her face and pray for them, so she can save herself.
