chapter 10 Determined

The sun shines through the cracks of the curtains, pulling the blanket over my head. I grew up at the thought of getting up. I had so much confidence last night that now I have to but now I have to put my actions where my mouth is. Rubbing my eyes I scoot out of bed. I wrapped my hair up into a bun and threw on a t - shirt and sweatpants. Rubbing the crust off my eyes I head down stairs for some coffee. When I get to the kitchen my dad and mom are sitting at the table with my brother, I swear they get up before the sun does, they aren’t normal. Walking over to the counter I grab a coffee mug and pour coffee into it. Adding cream and vanilla, I grab a banana nut muffin off the stove and sit down next to mom. She looks at me with worry in her eyes, they all do.

“ So are you all just going to look at me like I’m going to turn into dust in the next few minutes or are you going to tell me what's going on?” I g
