Chapter 48: Eyeliner

Amelia reached out for the French toast Tina had brought and she had a bite to ward off the questions in her mind.

She heard a knock on her door as she ate the french toast, she flinched instantly and moved to the door, she opened the door widely.

"Were you expecting someone?" Tina teased.

"Nah! I'm just–" Amelia paused, not knowing what to say, she isn't a good liar and doesn't want her vulnerability known to Tina yet. Tina entered Amelia's room and shut the door behind her expecting Amelia to complete her statement.

"On my roster, today I'd only be weeding the garden, is there any other thing you'd want me to do?" Amelia asked Tina, digressing from what she was saying.

Tina is seen assessing Amelia's kohl eyeliner, she wasn't really into what Amelia was saying.

"Where did you get this eyeliner? They look nice" Tina said.

"Oh! I was given by Sarah." Amelia said and her countenance changed at the remembrance of Sarah, they had started off with a rough patch
