BRENDA'S POV

The steam from the natural spring was easing up my tense muscles when I suddenly felt someone's eyes on me than the water nudging up a bit.

This was followed by rushing footsteps when I turned my head I saw a sharp familiar face drenched with worry.

"Tho-"

He placed his hand on my lips with a slight but sharp hissing sound, "Brenda, please don't make a sound some vampires are going here at any minute,"

My eyes widened and if his hand had not been on my lips I would have yelled.

"There are far all many of them, I've barely recovered from my wound, and you...well let's just say you are not in a condition for battle,"

It was then I realized that I was having this conversation with my mate looking as bare as the day that I came into this world, but as my cheeks reddened up to my ears they were still able to catch the sound of rushing footsteps.
