“That’s weird” Amelia muttered, her eyes on the phone she was holding

“What is weird?” Jackson asked her.

They were back at his place upon his insistence that he wanted to keep her company for the whole day. She had refused of course and then he had decided to use the one tactic she had not been expecting. The one about his father telling her to take care of him.

“You are reneging on your promise to my father” he commented as they argued

“He said ‘take care of you’ not that I should follow you home and then begin living in your house. I did not hear any mention that, besides we have work tomorrow and I have to prepare and…”

“I will drop you at home, you don’t have to worry about that” he told her.

Amelia finally succumbed to his wishes and allowed him take her to his place. She could not stop the thoughts of something happening between them like it had this morning when he had called her pretty. She did not want to be some rebound for him; something to get over the feeling
