Jackson’s POV

I had left for the Pack office earlier than usual.

I poured myself a glass of straight neat whiskey and sipped.

I didn't know whether to believe Brianna. Perhaps I was a fool for allowing her back into my home after everything she'd done. But she was here. Brianna was finally back, and for the first time in years, I could imagine having my family together again.

A knock came on my door.

I didn’t need to ask who it was. I already knew it was Marcus.
