Chapter 77: The Hidden Child
Emery
Ever since we got married, it seems like Kairo can’t keep his hands to himself. Like right now! I was cooking for Devyn’s birthday party, but he kept on kissing my neck and saying that he wants to do it.
“Stop it, Kairo! We already did it yesterday. You’re going to drain me out. And besides, this is Devyn’s special day. You can’t make it about you!” I scolded him and hit him lightly on the cheek.
He pouted, “But I want to do it!”
“And I don’t. Go to the living room with the children and help them decorate the house. Their classmates are coming soon, and they’re still not done. Go now,” I shooed him away.
He stomped his foot but agreed anyway. “Fine.”
I chuckled and continued cooking. I've actually been feeling under the weather these days. Even now that I’m cooking Devyn’s favorite seafood pasta, I’m getting nauseous because of the scent. I’m also very fond of this pasta before, so it makes me sad that I won’t be able to eat it t
