LOGINDamien Black POV
I opened my eyes slowly, I reached for the other side of the bed. Empty!. I sat up slowly and looked around the room, her things were gone. I sighed she ran before I could wake up. Liora…. I smirked, I am glad she broke up with that asshole, it gave me a chance…. My phone rang, bringing me out of my thoughts. My family assistant. Marcus I rolled my eyes. “Yes,” I said as I answered the phone. “Young Master, the chairman and the CEO have demanded you return to the family estate…,” he said. “I am busy,” I cut him off. He sighed."Your grandmother is sick, and she needs to see you because she is dying…,” “How?!, when?!,” I asked as I climbed out of the bed. “Will you be coming home now?, Young master?,” Marcus asked. “Yes, I am on my way…,” “I will send out our men to pick you up,” “Okay..,” The call ended, I wanted to wait behind and find Liora but I couldn't anymore, I ran my hands through my hair. Liora….I could still smell her… I clenched my fist, she dared to use me and ran… My eyes catch a red stain on the bed and frown. Blood? Was she a virgin?... I dial a number. “Coach…,” ★★★ I arrived at the main city airport. My face was expressionless as I walked out of the airport. My family, men, were waiting in black, outside a black expensive car. I hate going home and I knew very well my grandmother wasn't sick, it was a trapped she wants me home, she knew I won't bare to see her sickly or the thought of being sick scares me. “Young master…,” I nodded, as they took my bag, I climbed into the car. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I couldn't forget her voice, her touch and the way she says my name. And it was her first time. I am glad that asshole Victor had never touched her, I smirked. She is mine… “Sir, we arrived at the Black, Estate,” I walked into the estate, and met my family in the lodge. My father, grandfather, grandmother, mother. I sigh, I just walked into their trap. “Good day…,” “My lovely grandson is back!,” my grandmother said as she opened her arms, I walked to her and hugged her. “Grandma… I said to her, she patted my shoulder, sweetly. “Are you okay?,” I asked softly, she nodded. “It is the only way to get you home,” she said softly. “I know,” She pulled back, my mother walked to me, I kissed her cheek, my mother smiled and stroked my face. I gave a nod to the two older men, watching. My mother ordered the maids to bring refreshments. My grandfather cleared his throat. “Since you are back, we want you to quit hockey…,” my father began.. “No,” “You are growing older, son. I thought it will end after college and we gave you time to give up on those dreams…,” my father said sternly. “My answer will always be the same, that is my life, my dream and my career. I am not going to leave the NHL, because you wanted to take over…,” I said, my voice cold. “That career and dream will not last that long, you know that you need to learn the rein of your family lineage….,” my father snapped. “I will learn, when I am ready…,” “Damien,” my grandfather called, I looked at him. “Grandfather….,” “I am getting older and weaker, your father needs to take over as chairman so I can rest…,” he said coughing. I sighed. “I am sure there's someone who can take over as CEO, till I want to,” “No, it has to be you…,” my father said, raising his voice. “Enough!,” my grandfather snapped. “I will give you a year more, and you must get married…,” my grandfather said. “No, no not that,”as soon as I finished speaking an annoying voice came from behind. “Diamen!!!,” I rolled my eyes and turned with a polite smile, my face cold and expressionless. “Celina,” I greets, the woman rushed towards me after she gave her things to the maid. I stepped back before she could hug me. “What are you doing here?,” I asked. She smiled. “I am glad you are back in the city,” she said, ignoring my question. “Anuty, uncle and grandpa and grandma. My mother sent gifts,” Celina said softly. “Thank you,” my mother said smiling, and the others nodded. “Am I intruding on something?…,” Celina asked innocently. I am sure she heard from the beginning, and someone in the house definitely told her I was home. “Yes, you are. You should leave,” I said coldly “But…I just arrived I can give you all some privacy..,” she said almost as if she was begging. “I am sure this visit of yours is not something you do on a normal day,” Celina turned to me, frowning. “I didn't know you were home and I have always come here to visit the family,” she denied. Celina then turned to my family for help, they all nodded their heads, of course they will. “I don't care, we broke up already. There's no chance of me and you getting back together,” I said coldly. “I only left to study abroad and you know there's no way a long distance can work…,” Celina said, almost crying. “I am back now, can't you just give us a chance, I can be the perfect girlfriend or wife,” she said trying to hold my hand. I moved back. Of course she heard about the marriage part. “I wanted to come along with you Celina but you decided to leave me behind, I was going to give up my dream to come along with you,” I said, she smiled. “I know, I know but I care about you…I can't let you just give up on your dreams for me, Diamen,” she said as if she was concerned. Manipulative bitch. “No, leave. Celina,” I said coldly. She started crying. “I still love you…,” “Since both of you are here…,” my grandfather said, clearing his throat. “i would like to arrange the engagement between you and Celina, you have to choose to get married or take over the company,” my grandfather added. “No, I have a girlfriend already and she is pregnant,” I said, not thinking. Their eyes all went wide. “What?!,”Liora Devereux POVI stand in the corner of the event hall, sipping my drink. I watched people fan over my paintings. My phone beeped, a text message from Damien. DAMIEN: Hi, Liora. Do you want to have dinner with me later this evening, so we can celebrate with our wins?.DAMIEN: It is okay, if you don't feel like it. We can do it later or never. The decision is yours.I smiled and typed. ‘Yes, let have dinner tonight’ I looked up, with a smile. Evalina walked to me with two cups of champagne. “I didn't have the time to compliment you, when the event began. You look magnificent, babe,” she said, I smiled.“Thanks,” “Here, people love your work,” she said as she handed me the drinks.“I am grateful,”’“No, you are a brilliant Artist,” she paused.“If you don't mind, some of my partners will like to meet you. The paintings sold out so fast that they wonder who this painting is,” Evalina added.“Really, I…oh…I am so happy but I can't do it after the party, I wished but I already had
Liora Devereux POV‘Here is my decision, and not a suggestion. Find me a better candidate for CEO, I want Matilda away,” “What?! .No way…, you can't decide who becomes CEO,” Matilda shouted.“Mr Dale?,” I called, Mr Dale stood up in a hurry.“Y…yes..”“As a shareholder and a new official board member, I can decide who gets to be CEO, right?,” I asked.“Yes but you need the others to vote her out, and evidence of why she is not suitable for CEO,” Mr Dale answered, I glanced towards Matilda and she looked smug.I smile, be happy. I will watch you fall, Matilda. “Nobody will vote me out, Liora,” Matilda smirked.“I know, but you are still not going to be CEO..,” I replied.“Okay, since we all know I am the new shareholder. I think the meeting is bound to end here…I want another meeting arranged for voting CEO Matilda and I hope everyone will do the right thing,” I announced.“Let's see who wins, Liora…,” I looked at my father, my eyes promising to take back all that belongs to me. I ca
LIORA DENVERUX POV “To beat at her own game…,” Damien smiled. “Do you need me to do anything?,” he asked.“Yes, play along. I am sure she is not done yet,” I muttered.“Done,”I smiled, “I heard about the Gala, do you need a date?,” I asked.“No, I have always gone alone so it is fine,” “Can I come along?,”“Liora, you don't have to. It is not a big deal…,” “But it is a big deal for your teammates…,” I said softly.“I don't want you to do something you are not okay with…,” he stated.“I want to, I am going to be your date…,” I insisted.“Okay…,” he grinned, nodded. I grin back, I have been trying to let things stop being awkward.“I am going to Denverux Company tomorrow…,”“Do you need any help?,” Damien asked.“Yes,” “When I was eighteen. I signed away my shares for my father, so he could take over as CEO…I need shares to be able to be in that board room,” I explained.“Oh…,” “I know, I was stupid. I thought that will earn his fatherly affection for me,” “No, I don't think y
Daimen Black POV “Hi Damien,” I turned, and it was Camille. My frown deeper. “How did you find me?,” I asked, he hated girls like Camille, but he hated her more for she treated his ‘Liora’“That is not a nice thing to say…and it is obvious that this is your practice rink, everyone knows that…,” Camille said smiling as she walked closer.I stopped her. “I ask how do you know about today scheduled?,” I asked, she does know the time to find me, probably someone in our team is not keeping their mouth closed.“I have my ways and when I am determined to have something or someone nothing can stop me,” She said softly, she clenched her hand around her purse and looked down shyly.I scoffed. “What do you want? And I hope you know everything you do come with consequences…,” “I am willing to take risk…I wanted to talk to you, I know we meet twice at wrong time…I might over reacted a little, it was stupid…my past behavior, I changed a lot, I want to know if you won't mind for us to get lunch a
Damien Black POV “Is it bad that you sue the bloggers, do you have to go that far to sue me too?. You almost ruined my career…” After Liora left a strange number called, I should have known it was Celina.“Then you shouldn't give out misinformation…and if your career is almost ruined it is your fault not mine,” I said to Celina.“Do you hate me that much…we had a good time when we were dating. I just wanted your fame…a little, that why I lied that we were dating….,” I scoffed. “I told you I have a girlfriend, do you even think about how that will would ruin my relationship…I don't even know why I am talking to you…you have always been selfish, you only think about yourself,” “I am sorry…I can apologize to your girlfriend…if that is what you want, I can tell her that all i said was a lie, can you please stop…please…,”“You must really think I am foolish…Bye Celina,” I ended the call, and sighed. I stared at the ceiling above.Maybe I should just confess to Liora…I'm in love wi
Liora Devereux POV “Damien…,” He stopped on the stairs, but didn't turn to look at me. “Can we talk?,” I asked. I needed to apologize to him. He turned, “You want to talk to me?,” he asked, I nodded. “Yes,” He nodded, “Yes…I can talk..,” he said, I gave a small smile, I didn't come down for dinner last night because I was avoiding him. It was stupid. Leah clapped her hands together. “I think it is time for me to leave…,” she said, picking her bag. She hugged me, and squeezed my shoulder. She smiled at Damien, as she walked to the door, the guards with her followed behind her. The door closed, I took a deep breath. “I didn't ask her to come, I understand that you wanted space and I willing to give that space…,” “Damien…,” I cut him off, I walked to the couch and sat down. I felt him behind me as he walked around the couch. “I am sorry for how I reacted…last night,” I began softly. “You had the right too…I should have told you everything about Celina. I tho
Daimen Black POV “Hey baby,” “Don't you dare touch me,” I snapped as Celina tried to touch me.“Why?” She asked, I sighed looking at the crazy lady in front of me.“Who let in the rink?,” I asked, ignoring her.“The security?.. he knows who I am and his daughter is a big fan of mine,” Celina boa
Liora Devereux POV I watched as the door closed behind Damien. He was surprisingly a flirt, on camera and in public, he was like a cold giant with a glance from him that would make you piss in your pants. I blushed. He left me up, touched me like I mattered. I can't fall in love with him because
