Avery's POV

She turned towards me and raised her brows, " Uh, I don't know, maybe the fact that you and your family are not on good terms and it's unsettling." She said, her eyes searching mine.

Why was she bothering with them? I didn't want to speak to them, period, instead I drew her closer to me and she stiffened. " You are far away."

Her breath hitched and a blush coated her cheeks making her even more attractive and I stared at her, why was she behaving like a virgin?

" Answer the question." She said and I cocked my head at her. There was something different about her, she stared at me tenderly.

" What do you want?" She asked and her eyes widened in response as if she was just realizing that she walked into that trap wide open.
