Chapter 242

Tamara and Damian arrived at the Lancaster Mansion. Tamara walked slowly toward the sofa, while Damian followed right behind, placing his work bag on the table.

Before getting ready for the office, Damian sat down beside his wife. His gaze fell on Tamara’s belly, which was now starting to show. His hand reached out, stroking it gently, as if he could never get enough of feeling the little life inside.

“I still can’t believe… our little angel is here,” Damian said in a low voice, his eyes full of emotion.

Tamara gave him a faint smile, placing her hand over his. “You say that every day, Damian.”

“And I’ll keep saying it,” Damian replied quickly.

Without waiting, he bent down and pressed soft kisses onto Tamara’s belly. He kissed her several times with tenderness before letting out a satisfied breath. Tamara shook her head lightly, her expression a mix of amusement and affection.

“Damian, you don’t have to overdo it,” she said softly.

Chapter 243Nathan arrived at his company with calm yet steady steps. As soon as he got out of the car, several employees who happened to pass by immediately bowed respectfully, greeting him politely. Nathan’s aura of authority always seemed to make the atmosphere around him feel more orderly. Without much small talk, he headed straight to the main lobby, and there stood a familiar figure.Steven was waiting for him with a confident expression. He looked neat in a formal suit, his tie perfectly knotted, as if he was truly prepared to take an important step.“Nathan,” Steven greeted with a faint smile.Nathan gave a brief nod. “You came right on time. Come with me, we’ll meet the HR team to discuss your position.”They walked side by side toward the floor occupied by the HR team. Some employees whispered quietly upon seeing Nathan’s closeness with a man who was still unfamiliar in the company. Nathan paid little attention to it. To him, Steven was family. He did not want to delay his c

  • The Rise of the Betrayed Billionaire's Ex-Wife   Chapter 241

Chapter 241That morning, the dining room at Grandma Clara’s residence felt warm. The aroma of toasted bread, coffee, and Sonia’s homemade chicken soup filled the long table. The children sat neatly, Olivia busy chatting with Katty, Delya, and Alva, while the twins were held alternately by Grandma Clara and Mommy Sonia.Elena sat beside Nathan, looking calm as she scooped her soup. Nathan occasionally fed Edward, who was fussy, making everyone chuckle at his antics.“Ah, this morning feels so warm,” said Grandma Clara with a broad smile. “The whole family is gathered.”“That’s true, Oma,” Nathan replied. “It’s been a long time since I felt such a relaxing atmosphere.”Steven, who sat across from them, also smiled. “I missed this kind of moment too. In Germany, it never felt like this.”Elena only glanced briefly, then lowered her gaze to her soup again. She remained quiet, letting Nathan and the others carry the conversation. After everyone finished eating, the table was still filled

The night was late. The clock showed two in the morning. Grandma Clara’s residence was completely silent, with only the occasional sound of crickets from the back garden. In the guest room on the second floor, Steven was still awake. His body lay with one hand behind his head, while his eyes stared at the ceiling. His mind could not rest since the incident on the balcony with Elena. That image kept clinging to him, making his chest tight with feelings he could hardly control. His door suddenly creaked softly. Steven quickly turned his head, his brow furrowed. Elena’s figure appeared at the doorway, her steps careful, almost without sound. Her nightgown fell gently, framing her body, her hair loose, her face tired yet holding something unreadable.“E-Elena?” Steven’s voice caught, half in shock, half in disbelief.Elena didn’t answer. She only closed the door slowly, then walked closer. In an instant, she was already at the side of his bed. Her gaze was deep, piercing, making Steven lo

That night the air felt cool. The balcony of Grandma Clara’s residence, overlooking the back garden, was filled with gentle breezes. The small lamps around the garden created a warm yet calm atmosphere.Elena sat on a rattan chair, staring at her laptop screen. In front of her was the open revision of a design she had to finish. At times, her fingers typed quickly, and at other times, she scrolled the mouse with a sigh.On the small table beside her was a phone that had just rung. A message from the head designer came in. Elena opened it while adjusting her glasses.“Mrs. Elena, the revision for the Milan project is almost complete. I’m checking the color details, and tomorrow I’ll send you the final file. Don’t worry, the team here can handle it well.”Elena smiled faintly as she read the message. She replied briefly: “Good. Thank you for working hard. Don’t get too tired.”Her mind felt slightly relieved, though there were still some details she had to work on herself. The night ind

Chapter 238The atmosphere in Grandma Clara’s living room felt warm that night. The children were busy making plans, their laughter filling the room, while Elena was having a light conversation with Mommy Sonia. Nathan sat not far away, occasionally watching the twins who were being carried in turns by Grandma Clara and Sonia.Suddenly, the sound of the front door opening was heard. A tall man with sharp features and neatly combed dark brown hair entered, carrying a small suitcase. His face immediately lit up with a smile when he saw the big family.“Steven!” Grandma Clara exclaimed as she stood up.“Hello, Oma!” the man replied, his voice deep but warm. He quickly approached and hugged Grandma Clara tightly.Nathan, who had been sitting on the sofa, stood up spontaneously, his eyes widening. “Steven Gerrard! My God, how long has it been since you came home?”Steven chuckled softly. “Fifteen years, Nathan. Too long, isn’t it?”Nathan laughed broadly and immediately embraced his cousin
