Darwin’s POV

I walked up and down the closet, fuming in silent anger. She betrayed me!

I laid down my heart and trusted her yet she betrayed me!

From the closet, I could hear the sound of her moving up and down in the room. What was she even doing there? Should I send her to another room?

With a deep sigh, I tied the strings of my sweatpants and strode into the room.

“Are you ready to go to bed?” Her floral scent slammed into me as my wolf whined pitifully.

“What are you doing? I narrowed my eyes as I gave her a once-over.

She just came out of the bathroom. Her wet, dark hair was plastered to her face, and the night dress she had on, sent a bitter taste to my tongue. I missed seeing her in my shirt.

“I was just making the bed. It’s late and we need to sleep."

Is she trying to get me to sleep so she can steal back the elixir?

“Why are you so anxious for me to sleep? Planning to start another stage of your plan?” I sneered as I dropped into the bed, trying my best not to notice how t
