Alpha Jasper's POV

Sitting at the head of the dining table, I kept looking at the door, hoping Anna would walk through it the next minute but it seems that wasn't going to happen.

It has been more than half an hour since I asked the maid to go fetch her but still yet, she was nowhere to be found.

At this point, I couldn't help but to wonder what the problem was since it was unlike her.

Or was she still asleep? — the question rang in my head as I brought my glass to my lips to take a sip of the wine it held.

Exhaling, I dug my hand into my hair and the next minute gestured to a maid who immediately walked up to me with her head bowed.

“My lord.” She called.

“I need my Luna.”

“She is on her way, my lord. Her personal maid told me she just woke up when I went to meet with her…” I didn't allow her to finish speaking before I waved her off and then began to drum my fingers against the table, still staring at the door which was slightly opened.
