Aria's POV

I pointed at the trophy sitting on the side. "No first place, no surprise."

Looking down at my hands resting on my knees, I fidgeted nervously with my fingers. My first attempt at acting, and I was terrified Aiden would see right through me.

Aiden couldn't see my expression, but he must have thought I was genuinely upset with my head hanging low like that.

"Second place is still something to celebrate," he said, reaching out to stroke my hair. "Hungry?"

Before I could answer, my traitorous stomach growled loudly.

I lifted my head, my ears burning with embarrassment. "Starving."

"Want to grab something to eat?"

"God, yes."

Aiden stood up, and I instinctively reached for his hand, which he gripped firmly. After hesitating for a moment, I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around him.

"You're not mad at me, are you?" I asked, searching his face.

"Why would I be mad when my beautiful w

Aria's POVWe finally left the restaurant, heading back to the hotel. The food had been amazing, but I was feeling that familiar drowsiness that comes after a satisfying meal."I think I need a nap," I said, glancing at Aiden as we entered our suite. "Care to join me?""Give me a few minutes. I need to make some work calls first," he replied, already pulling out his phone.I nodded and made my way to the king-sized bed, sinking into the plush mattress. Though exhaustion weighed on my limbs, sleep refused to come. Every time I closed my eyes, images of Aiden flooded my mind—his intense gaze, his strong hands, the way his muscles moved beneath his shirt. I'd been so busy preparing for the competition this past week, leaving home early and returning late, completely drained of energy. We barely had time to talk, let alone anything else. The mattress suddenly dipped behind me, pulling me from my thoughts. I tensed momentarily before feeling Aiden

Aria's POVWhen JJ's mask fell off, the whole venue erupted in excitement. The host, after a few seconds of shock, quickly recovered and got back to work."My goodness, I never expected our JJ to be such a beautiful woman!" he exclaimed, picking up the mask and handing it to me. "JJ, do you think you still need this mask?"I felt embarrassed inside, but kept my composure outwardly. Taking the mask from him, I replied confidently, "I don't think I need it anymore."The host bantered with the audience for a bit before continuing with the photo arrangements. My suddenly revealed face had stolen the spotlight from the actual champion of the event.Even though I wasn't in the center position, the photographers instinctively made me their focal point. Who could blame them? This was too juicy a moment to pass up.The event organizers were thrilled with this unexpected development. Their photographers aimed all their lenses at me, working ext

Author's POVThe day of the race finally arrived, bringing with it a whirlwind of excitement and tension. It was a speed competition with substantial prize money on the line—$500,000 for first place, $300,000 for second, and $100,000 for third.Aria found herself flanked by her longtime rivals who seemed to have coordinated their strategy. The moment the race began, they surged forward in tandem, deliberately squeezing her toward the back of the pack. But Aria hadn't claimed so many first-place victories by accident. This petty tactic hardly fazed her. Watching carefully for her opportunity, she seized the moment as they rounded a marker buoy and smoothly overtook them from the right side, her jet ski cutting through the water with precision."Go JJ!" Lillian screamed at the jumbotron, her voice cracking with excitement. The spectator stands were positioned quite far from the actual race course, making it impossible for competitors to hear an

Aria's POVAfter our steamy session on the balcony, Aiden carried me to the bathroom, my legs still trembling and useless from multiple orgasms. The warm water cascaded over our bodies as he gently washed away the evidence of our passion, his strong hands massaging soap across my sensitive skin."Round two?" he whispered against my ear, his hardness pressing into my back before I could even catch my breath."Already?" I gasped, but my body betrayed me, responding instantly to his touch as he turned me to face him. Before I could say another word, he lifted me against the shower wall, the cool tiles contrasting with my heated skin. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he thrust into me, the water amplifying every sensation. My head fell back against the tile as he pounded relentlessly, hitting that perfect spot inside me with each stroke."Fuck, Aria," he growled, his voice rough with desire. "You feel so goddamn tight."I couldn't fo

Aria's POVIn our bedroom, I went straight to the walk-in closet and grabbed my favorite silk nightgown before heading to the bathroom. The hot water felt heavenly against my skin as I washed away the day's exertions. After shampooing my hair, I took extra time blow-drying it to semi-dryness. When I finally stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in my silky nightgown that fell just mid-thigh, Aiden wasn't in the bedroom.I moved to the vanity, pumping some moisturizer into my palm and patting it onto my face while wandering toward the door. The bedroom was empty too.Maybe he was waiting in the garden? As I stepped out of the bedroom, movement in my peripheral vision caught my attention. Through the glass doors, I could see someone standing on the balcony. Aiden's loose white shirt billowed slightly in the breeze, his back to me as he gazed outward.Suddenly his words from downstairs clicked into place: "Tonight's moon looked particularly beau
