LizzieI walked my bike up to the bus station and put it in the bike rack, I knew I couldn’t keep riding all the way there and would need to spend some of my limited money on a bus ticket. The ticket window opened at 6am and it was only 5:30 so I had some time to kill before I could get a ticket and get as far away as possible. I pulled out my favorite book The Count of Monte Cristo and picked a page at random and started reading. I could start anywhere in this book and know exactly what was happening. The book was falling apart and taped in so many places I couldn’t even see the front cover anymore, it was an old friend, and it gave me so much comfort.
