Revenge is a dish best served... Heartless

Chapter One Lyra "I heard men have snakes in their pants and it'll bite you tonight," Meli, My mate's sister said, giggling excitedly as she helped me undress for my wedding night. "Where did you hear that from?" I groaned. Liana's mind was always so wild, it baffled me. "Stop lying, no one told you that," "Seriously, Ally" She said, tugging my night dress up. I had always imagined this night. The night my mate would finally claim me. Everyone in the pack had been looking forward to the time Alpha Kaelen would finally mate with his fated mate and the pack would be blessed by the moon goddess. I sat in the center of our bed, my white night gown pooling around me like the moonlight. He would touch us tonight, my wolf yipped excitedly. "Oh you look beautiful-" Meli trailed off with a cough. Her eyes widened and her small frame shook with each heavy frame that wracked her entire body. Her skin turned even paler and quickly, I rushed off the bed to hold her. Ever since I h

Falling in sweet temptation

Chapter Two Malrik "Win the trials and come be mine, okay?" Selene my mate had told me before I walked into the blasted trial grounds. Passing the first two trials were easy, combat and strategy were the whole reason I was Wolf King in the first place. This last trial would be a breeze. The trial of temptation. I ignored the witch assigned to tempt me and continued bathing in the river. The last Alpha trials I had done before I was crowned King, the woman certainly hadn't fallen from the sky but I didn't care who or how the temptation came. I would win it, get mated to Selene, have heirs for my kingdom and maintain the balance. The plan was simple. "Uh, a hand please?!" The seductress called behind me and I tossed her a glance. Fuck Me. A jolt hit between my thighs and I looked away immediately. Oh fuck no. She was beautiful, too beautiful. Her soaked white gown clung to her in a way that made my chest feel hot and my cock come alive. All I had was a glance and the imag

Trapped in the Wolf King's body

Chapter Three Lyra I was losing my mind. Oh yes I was going insane, all in one night. First my mate killed me. Then I met a crazy goddess who stitched me back together and threw me out of a fucking sky. Then I practically jumped on a hot stranger, and kissed him, and I would have let him to fuck me because I really wasn't thinking. Then we got struck by lightning and now? Now I had a cock. A. Whole. Cock. Dangling. Between. My. Legs. I stared down at myself in horror, taking in the broad chest, big hands, hard muscles everywhere. I flexed one arm, just to be sure I wasn't dreaming and nope, not dreaming because the muscles indeed flexed and they felt tight. I was in the Wolf King's body. "This is wild," I muttered, staring at my body in wide eyed wonder. Then I saw my real body sprawled on the ground and very much unconscious. “No, no, no…” I scrambled toward it, my massive feet stomping towards my body. My, well the Wolf King's heart was pounding in my ears. Oh my

A second death?

Chapter Four Lyra “The Wolf King has failed!” The wolf King who was currently thrown over my shoulder, was cussing me out under his breath. "No wolf King in history has ever failed the Alpha trials." Everyone began murmuring. The dainty blonde who I was starting to realize was probably the 'Selene' he had mentioned back on the trial ground, strutted towards me and whipped me a dirty slap straight on the cheek. It stung like hell. Tears streaked her cheeks as she sobbed, “How could you? You shamed me before everyone. You've done the trials before so how could you fail?" My mind scrambled on how I was supposed to respond. I barely knew what the Wolf King looked like in my past life, my pack was far away from the palace and I really didn't care. So how on Earth was I supposed to pretend to be a man I barely knew? If I spoke too softly, they would know something was wrong. If I spoke too brash, they would know something was wrong too. Either way, this was a no-win situation.

Meeting His Fated Mate

Chapter 5 LyraI stood still, dazed by what Alpha Thane declared. If the wolf king was executed in my body then I was going to die, again. No way! But how do I stop this terrifying being?"Take the woman to the execution ground now," Alpha Thane demanded, ordering the guards to take Malrik away.Chills ran down my spine. I was going to die if my body was taken to execution. My throat dried up at the thought of that. I was made to speak but I was interrupted by Malrik who spoke in my body."You have no authority over the Wolf King!" He bellowed without thinking twice, earning gasp from the crowd present.A woman from the trials speaking out of turn is unheard of, I couldn't hide my shock either. I turned sharply to face him but High priestess Maera spoke immediately."How does a nameless temptress know of Alpha Thane?" The priestess asked, gliding forward. "You should know nothing of our kingdom." Her eyes narrowed on me suspiciously. My eyes traveled through the crowd and all gazes

I Can't Admit This Feels Good

CHAPTER 6Lyra's POVI opened the door, forcing Malrik's neutral expression to behold Selena standing by the door in tears. I froze for a moment, unsure of how to react to the unexpected sight of her tears. She sweeps in, tears streaming down her face while I shut the door behind us. She stopped suddenly, facing me."Malrik, what are you doing?" she sobs, walking closer to me. She pressed herself against my chest. I struggled not to pull away, patting her back awkwardly. She pulled slightly away after a moment of silence and looked up. "Everyone is talking." She replied.I expected that already. The scene earlier was enough reason for them to discuss the Wolf king."Selena, I–""They said you spent the trial talking to that woman." She replied, pointing to the other part of the room. "They keep claiming that you... that you desire her." She yelled, in tears.I stared at her blankly, trying to figure out what Malrik would have done in that state. I couldn't think of any, instead I pul

How to be the Wolf King- without touching him?

CHAPTER 7Lyra POVI spined towards the mirror, at first surprised to see her but recalling what she had done, I spoke."You did this!" I exclaimed. "You made us switch bodies!" I added and the goddess bursted into laughter."Is that what you think?" She asked."Who else would have done that if it wasn't you?" I asked. "Why are you doing this now?" I questioned but she only smiled."Oh no, darling." She replied. "I didn't cause the swap. I didn't even think of it." She added, confusing me.I stared back at her, puzzled. If she didn't cause the swap then who would have done that?"Are you saying you didn't cause this?" I asked, referring to Malrik's body. She examines her nails before replying. "If I wanted you in his body, I'd have just put you there." She said, "Why would I bother with the heart transplant?" She added.I stood still, trying to figure out what she said. She was right, she was the moon goddess. If she had wanted to switch our bodies, she would have done that easily but

Stop Touching Me

CHAPTER 8Lyra POVI stood from the bed, glancing around to see if there was anything I needed to take. I opened the door when I noticed the robe I was putting on.I shouldn't wear such a robe to the council meeting. If I knew nothing about the Wolf king, I could easily sense that. I turned around to locate where the wardrobe was, and I rushed back in."Where is the wardrobe?" I muttered, walking around the spacious room. "Finally," I said, after finding Malrik's wardrobe."Are you in, sir?" Malrik's Beta asked outside the room. "I will come in now." He replied, informing me when he didn't get any response from me. I rushed to the wardrobe, tearing through Malrik's wardrobe. None of the robes seems familiar to me, they all sparkled in different ways. They were all nice, all smelling of his scent.I had to pick something quickly before his Beta began suspecting. I grabbed the first formal robe I saw.It was blac

CHAPTER 9Malrik POVI scoffed on hearing her speak. Staring at her angry face made my jaw clenched and I felt my wolf roar in anger.Does this witch think this act would make me quit? She clearly knew how her act would ruin my kingdom. Did she truly expect me to sit back and watch her destroy everything I've built?"Why?" My eyes gleamed. "You're stuck in my body. Might as well suffer, witch!” I snapped. She crossed the room in my body. "You did that on purpose. During the council meeting." She replied, facing me.I stared at her with a smirk playing on my face. I withdrew my hand slowly, licking my fingers clean. She tasted sweet, though."What was that for?" She asked and I stood from the bed. "You did–""You humiliated yourself." I blurted. "A mourning robe? Seriously?" I growled. The thought that she chose to wear such a robe out of every other robe in my wardrobe made me wonder.

Stuck in the Wolf King's body

CHAPTER 10Lyra POV I woke to the sound of the crowd outside, their voices increasing in an unruly chant. "The King has fallen." What was wrong?I stood from the bed, wondering where the noise came from. I moved to the window to check what exactly was going on. A gasp escaped my mouth when I saw hundreds of wolves, gathered with banners in their hands."The King has fallen," I read. "Execute the temptress."What were they trying to do and why was no one stopping them?"Your Majesty," Corvin called, entering the room. I turned to face him. "The council demands a public statement." He said. The council again? What was their request this time?"Saying what?" I grumbled. His eyes widened but he blinked sharply. "That you'll execute the woman." He replied.I knew it. The report from the last meeting had made them result in causing the young wolves to protest. I wouldn't give them what the
