- Book 1 of The Mafia Series - “Before we get on with our business, there’s a bit of a paperwork you’d need to sign,” Damon said suddenly. He took out a piece of paper and pushed it towards Violet. “What’s this?” she asked. “A written agreement for the price of our sale,” Damon replied. He said it so calmly and so nonchalantly, like he wasn’t buying a girl’s virginity for one million dollars. Violet swallowed hard and her eyes began to glaze over the words on that paper. The agreement was pretty self-explanatory. It basically stated that she’d agree to this sale of her virginity for the aforementioned price and that their signatures would seal the deal. Damon already signed his part and hers was left blank. Violet looked up to see Damon handing her a pen. She came into this room with the thought of backing out, but after reading the document, Violet had another change of heart. It was one million dollars. This was more money than she could ever see in her lifetime. One night compared to that would be minuscule. One could even argue that it was a bargain. So before she could change her mind again, Violet took the pen from Damon’s hand and signed her name on the dotted line. Right as the clock struck midnight that day, Violet Rose Carvey had just signed a deal with Damon Van Zandt, the devil in the flesh. * Warning: Mature content ahead. Enter at your own risk. *

There was no one in the room except for her and Damon. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “I just… came here to pray…” Violet was looking around in confusion. Then she narrowed her eyes at him and asked, “What are you doing here?” “Uh, same,” he shrugged. “Here to pray,” Damon… prays? Violet watched in suspicion as Damon stepped closer to the altar. He put the flowers he was carrying behind his back and stood before the cross. Bowing his head down, he closed his eyes as if to pray. “You know, they say it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding,” <
~ Violet ~“Dearly beloved and honored guests, we are gathered together here to join Damon Michael Van Zandt and Violet Rose Carvey in the union of marriage…”The officiant spoke proudly as the bride and groom stood before him. They were standing under a beautiful flower arch in the warm summer light. Violet looked absolutely beautiful in her white wedding dress. She looked up to see Damon’s dark, piercing eyes boring into hers. He also looked dashingly handsome, wearing his signature black three-piece suit.“…Will you, Damon Michael Van Zandt, take Violet Rose Carvey to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect her, forsaking all others, and holding only unto her forevermore?”Damon kept his eyes on her as he said, “I do,”Violet’s heart was fluttering in happin
~ Violet ~“Damon, I have to talk to you!”Violet raced down the stairs in her beautiful lily-white silk dress. The rehearsal dinner was starting and guests were filling up the estate. Damon was already dressed in his dark three-piece suit. He looked mighty handsome, as always, and he was walking down the steps, greeting the incoming guests.Wait, who are all these people?“Wow, you look amazing,” Damon gaped as he turned around and watched her glide down the stairs. He put a hand to his chest for added dramatic effect.“Thank you, but listen, I need to ask you something—““Sure, but hold that thought for one second,” Damon cut her off and pulled her hand, guiding her to the man and woman who were standing at the bottom of the staircase. “Violet, I’d like you
~ Violet ~When Violet opened her eyes next, all she could see were blurry images and colors. Her head was spinning and her body was too weak to move.“…I don’t know what happened, she just blacked out!”Although she couldn’t make out what she was seeing, she could hear people talking. That was Celina’s voice.“Where the hell is the fúcking doctor?!”That was Damon’s voice, unmistakably. He sounded wildly irritated and angry. Violet wanted to keep her eyes open, but they were too heavy. Her eyes fluttered shut and then there was darkness again.Sweet girl, wake up. Please, wake up.Violet didn’t know how long she was out for, but when she opened her eyes next, she saw that she was in her room and the window outside was dark. Slowly, her
~ Violet ~“I love you more than anything and more than anyone. And it fúcking hurts that you don’t even believe that,”Later that night, Violet went to bed with Damon’s words ringing in her head. Damon was sleeping next to her, his arm was wrapped around her stomach. Violet turned to her side with her eyes wide open. Normally, it was Damon who was having trouble sleeping, but tonight it was her.“Isabella was the only girl I ever loved. Anyone else after her means nothing to me,”No matter how many times she shook the thought away, somehow those words always found her again. Violet stared at the window and watched the moon shining in the dark night sky. For some reason, the moon looked awfully sad and lonely tonight, and it didn’t help that her thoughts were running wild.I
~ Violet ~As soon as Violet came home from the spa trip, she only had one thing in mind; to confront Damon about the honeymoon plans. The boys had come back first from their golf trip. Everyone was resting and Damon was cooped up in his study. Leaving Talia and Celina downstairs, Violet went up the second floor with conviction in her steps. When she approached the study, she saw that the door was slightly ajar. Opening her mouth like she was ready to speak, she was seconds away from bursting through the door when she noticed another person was inside the room. It was Hugo DeSantis, sitting across from Damon’s desk. Violet stopped her tracks and found herself listening in on their conversation.“…Getting married in five days,” Hugo said as he sipped his whiskey. “Must be exciting,”“Hm, yeah,” Damon’

Talia wanted the weekend together with just Violet and her, but Violet invited Celina to come along, arguing that she was also a bridesmaid, even though it was self-declared.“Sure,” Talia rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses. “It’s super nice,”Although Violet was warming up to Celina, Talia was still on edge. The last time the three of them spoke together, Celina was making fun of Violet for being a bartender. Talia held grudges over that kind of stuff.“The guys are out playing golf, and
~ Damon ~Damon was walking around with a chip on his shoulder after Dylan came to see him. He didn’t like that Violet’s brother thought so lowly of him, and he especially didn't like how they ended things. Dylan gave him a cut on his lip and Damon sent him out with a bloody nose and bruised face. She’s gonna hate me for it.Damon came home rehearsing his defense argument for when he had to explain things to Violet. In his defense, Dylan came and started everything first. He didn’t mean to hurt Dylan, but it just so happened that the prick asked for it.“Hey,” Damon said as he found Violet lying in bed. The bedroom light was dark, but she wasn’t sleeping. She was just lying there.“Hey,” Violet replied weakly. Damon turned on the lights and saw her tear-drenched face. She had been cryin
