CHAPTER FOUR

I overslept and when I woke up, Edith and Ren were gone. I was so tired to do any cooking that I had a rare treat of cereals and fruits for breakfast.

I went to Edith's room and got the folder that contained all the bills we had to pay.

She was usually secretive with these affairs being a dominant omega and elder as well as wanting to be incharge to take care of me.

I knew she owned a little mart that she spent most of the day in until school was over for Ren then she'd take him to work and they'd have lunch over there and back home before I was home.

I took all the unpaid bills that I could manage and kept the rest back to it's position.

I needed to pay for the electricity and Ren's daycare fee.

The pay I got from the days in the club could handle the electricity bills but Ren was my son so I needed to take care of his fees on my own.

I sat down on a chair as I pulled out a newspaper looking for job offers.

I circled the ones I was going to take my chances at. I quickly got ready and left with the papers in my hand.

I sighed as I sat in the lobby of the daycare, my mind still on the fact that I got another job.

The pay was less than the club and much stressful but it was the only job that was able to hire me.

Working as a chef at an old shack wasn't going to be so bad and the people were nice since they were all from different continents and cultures.

It was a place of diversity and no cared if you were an alpha, beta or an omega. They were all equal in their eyes but it doesn't excuse you to be disrespectful especially to our nonchalant chief.

"Sora." I heard my name as I whipped my head to the direction of the voice, my eyes widening in surprise to see Elias.

I stood up immediately and clenched my fist as my glares got cautious.

"What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?" I asked with a frown as he laughed.

"No. Though if I wasn't working I would take the time to."

"Then why are you here?"

"Daddy." My eyes trailed to a little kid with carrot red hair like mine and silvery gray eyes like Elias.

He had red lips and rosy cheeks with pale skin like mine. We had similarities but Elias features in him contrasted it. He was really beautiful with unruly long hair that touched his shoulders.

He looked like a little girl but I was certain he was boy because of some certain behaviours. My guess was that he wad a very docile child, calm and reasonable and probably four years old.

Ren was holding his hand before he released it and jumped into my arms as Elias carried his son who had his arms stretched out.

He hugged his father's neck, his hair hiding his eyes as Elias chuckled.

"He has autism spectrum disorder. A high functioning one or asperger's syndrome if people still call it that so please don't be offended." He explained as he ran this hand through his son's hair as I nodded in understanding.

"Mommy, my new friend." Ren pointed at Elias son who peeked at him but hid it when he made contact with mine.

"Your kid is really beautiful. What's his name?" I asked.

"Asa. Asa Hinata York." He said, "Asa sweetie, say hello to uncle Sora."

Asa stopped hugging his father and stared into my eyes for a second. He stretched his hands towards me like he knew me.

Elias and I were both taken aback when Asa whined as he stretched his hands towards me so I used my other hand and picked him up as he hugged my neck and played with my hair while Elias held Ren's bag.

"Wanna go to the park, it's not far from here." He explained as I nodded, carrying Asa who was lighter than he looked as Ren had me bring him down so he could bother Elias with a lot of questions.

We got to the park and sat down as Ren took Asa's hand who didn't talk and followed Ren like he had complete trust that Ren would never let go of his hand.

The way his eyes smiled even though his face was monotonous showed he was happy and anxious but still trusted Ren.

"Does Felicia know you have a kid?" I asked as I took a bite from Ren's leftover sandwich.

"Yes. It's not like my boy is a secret."

"You didn't say anything about him."

"Felicy said we should keep him a secret until we were engaged. She wanted me to make a good first impression, I only agreed because of his autism but he seemed to take a liking in you and Ren." He said with a smile as he relaxed on the bench with a sweet in his mouth.

"Your wife? What happened to her?" I asked nervously as I fidgeted.

"Oh Hana? She's alright but we don't talk anymore. She was cheating on me with several men so we divorced. Asa was barely a year at that time and he took it the hardest when Hana left. Hana didn't take him because she wanted to start her life afresh since she suffered a massive depression when she was pregnant and felt I wasn't enough. The condition for the divorce was that she was never to come back for Asa ever again." He explained as I held his hand in comfort when his mood got a bit down.

"I'm sorry."

"There's nothing to be sorry about, I had things easier than most would. Thanks to that I was able to recognize Asa had autism and got him into therapy in time. So forget me, what about your husband? Felicy mentioned he died but she never said how." He said as I retracted my hands quickly.

"He died on the battlefield. He was a soldier and I was pregnant, alone and scared. It hurts so much especially every time I look at Ren and wish so much he was still here with me. He was a hero but he was my bond first and he left me alone with all the pressure." I explained but gasped when Elias caught my wrist as he pulled away my "I promise" baller band.

"You tried to kill yourself?"

"Are they that ugly?"

"Uglier than the mole on my buttcheek." He joked and we bursted into laughter.

"Do you still cut?" He asked and I shook my head. "That's great, this beautiful skin doesn't deserve such cruel treatment."

He kissed each scar as I blushed, my body shivering to the touch as I smelt his arousal as well as mine. It wasn't much but it was there.

He stared me in the eyes, lowering our hands as he brought his face closer to my lips. My breath slowed down, my heartbeat raced and everything felt like it was in slow motion.

"Sora." Asa's monotonous voice broke us apart as I pushed Elias away and faced him.

Asa stood alone with pink carnations in his hands as he raised it towards me.

I smiled as I took it from him, smelling it as I looked at Asa whose hair covered his eyes.

"Thank you, they are really beautiful but not more beautiful than you." I said and I could have sworn I saw his lips twitch in a smile as his hands went to his chest before he ran away.

"He is embarrassed." Elias said as I laughed and kept the flowers properly, hoping the security won't be mad his being a kid by picking one of their flowers.

"His really adorable and he gets along with Ren." I complimented.

Elias was going to say something when his phone rang.

My eyes peeked to see babe with Felicy's picture and I felt ashamed for actually spending time with my sister-in-law's boyfriend.

"I'm sorry Elias but I have to go. It was nice talking to you and in as much as we know each other, I would prefer if we saw each other less. I don't want Felicia thinking wrong because we both have kids." I said and quickly picked up Ren's bag, the flowers and carried him away from Asa who said nothing but watched.

Elias held his son by his hands as they watched I and Ren leave but said nothing.

I just hoped Asa would forgive me.
