*Sophia’s POV*

The first thing I felt was heavy. And then sickness. My breathing was slow and shallow. I tried to figure why I was feeling this way. Was I unwell? I gingerly began to open my eyes, instantly squeezing them shut again due to the bright light. The last thing I remembered was going for a walk at night, why was it bright?

I managed to open my eyes fully, allowing them to adjust to take in my surroundings. As soon as I realised I didn’t recognise where I was, I sat up sharply. The sudden movement sent a pain to my head and I winced. It was as if I had been drugged.

I was lying in a large four-poster bed, adorned with transparent cream drapes. Plush crimson carpet blanketed the floors, and dark wood panelling covered the walls.
