With a heavy heart, I headed to my classroom. The first thing I did after reaching my desk was to take a glance at Aster’s class, but there was no sign of him.

Sighing deeply, I tossed my bag on the table and plonked on my chair, not wanting anyone to come and see me. I was not in the mood for socialising with anyone.

But Newt appeared before me out of nowhere with a smile which used to make my heart pound and butterflies linger inside my belly. I found out that his smile had lost its magic as it had no effect on me.
