Amber

The days following the threat passed in a blur of preparations, and yet they went by incident free. Cali and Tristan retuned home from their trip, looking rested and tanned and so in love it was sickly sweet.

The pack house was almost constantly occupied by a variety of guards and while Tristan and Roman were both busy, they still made time to spend with us, as a group and individually.

Slowly but surely, Roman and I were falling into a routine, and getting to know each other better with every day that passed. It was bizarre to think that we were under the threat of a war considering how easy life seemed at the minute.

I had spoken with Cali after her return home and had taken over more of her duties, freeing up time for the Luna and Roman was almost constantly in the presence of Tristan, their heads bowed as they conversed in quiet whispers while they planned and prepared.

The pack house was like a revolving door, with guards and advisors in and out at all hours and members of
