Chapter 46 The Devil's Prayer
A sudden loud thunder shook Santuario del Santo Cristo. The detective’s eyes roamed around the parish, meeting familiar gazes among the people. He realized that all of those people that Lucas want to put protection are all here. He gathered them all using a way he doesn’t want to know.
“He invited all the potential victims here, while expecting the killer to visit him at the bunker?” the detective asked Sister Bella. They were sitting at one of the benches, patiently waiting for Lucas to follow them inside the church.
“He knows what he’s doing. He put everyone here, because the devil knows he cannot enter in God’s home,” Sister Bella answered. “Is he going to be okay?”
The detective cannot bear the anguish anymore, he suddenly stood up but the nun was quick to grab his arm. “Where are you going?” she asked.

“How many are still left?” he asked Zera, while massaging his temples as he sighs out of exhaustion. Zera scanned her tablet for the remaining people scheduled for today. “There are still four more,” she answered while looking at her wristwatch that tells it’s already 3:00 in the afternoon. “Do you want to cancel the rest?” she asked Lucas, who now seems like he will fall asleep anytime soon with his eyes closed.
