I pushed the record button, and the little red circle started to blink. The timer on the top-left corner of the screen flashed the time elapsing in the video.

I took a deep sigh and smiled.

“Faye…” I muttered with a hoarse voice. “Are you watching this? I hope you do. I hope you somehow checked for your clothes’ pockets before throwing them out in the laundry, or else, I’m doing this for nothing.” I chuckled, finding myself silly. “And I hope your brain cells work to realize that what I’ve written was the new password of your computer. I’m sorry for changing it.”

I cleared my dry throat as I began to feel the tears already filling up. I looked at the clock, and ten minutes from now Faye would be back at my hospital room. My hands started to fidget.
