Chapter 56

“Congratulations, Pres!”

People who pass by greet me as soon as they see me. I greeted them back with a genuine smile. While making my way through the venue, I couldn’t help but wander my eyes around. As expected, everybody’s excited while doing an errand. Wearing their best dresses and polo, with toga’s on, we’re all going to leave this place together, indeed. They are scattered all over the lobby. May nag-pi-picture taking, may kinakausap ng teachers, and some are crying… tears of joy? I hope.

After six years in high school, finally, we will be able to step out of our little zone. This is not the end. This is just the beginning of our life or maybe another chapter. Then, after four years of college, it will be another chapter of our life. Life is life, indeed. It will continue to evolve as years passes by. I just hope that when it’s another chapter of my life, I’m now with her…

My feet automatically stop halfway as soon as my eyes spot her with her friends.
