After A Long Day

After a really long day at school, Stacy finally arrived home. She loosened her sleek black tie and dropped her bag onto her grey carpet. She felt so mentally exhausted from all the yelling and screaming. After pealing her uniform off, she made sure to fold it neatly. She decided to put on her pink Victoria's Secret robe which was the most favourite robe she owned then rushed into her bathroom, performing her daily skincare routine. First, she splashed her face with some cold water which started helping her feel a lot calmer then she squeezed some of her tea tree foaming facewash onto her palm and started massaging her face with it. She could feel the coolness surrounding her face which was very pleasant to feel then she scrubbed her face with some nspa which smelled of raspberries and helped get rid of all the dead skin. To finish off she smeared some of her Neutrogena visibly clear wash mask and splashed water right onto her face afterwards. In the end, she made sure to dab her face with her pink face towel. Her face felt so soft and clean. She absolutely loved the feeling!

After all of that, she knew that it was finally time to FaceTime Jenna. She plopped onto her bed, grabbing her rose gold iPhone "Hey, I'm back from school. How was your first day? Tell me everything!" Stacy gushed, excitement was clear in her eyes. At that time Jenna was just about to leave for school.

"I loved it! Everyone was so nice to me and I've already made so many friends." Jenna replied.

"Yeah, I can totally relate." Stacy expressed her sarcasm. "I'm so happy for you." She smiled.

"My new school is so big plus they have high school musical lockers here." Jenna described.

"Really, that's so cool and what about the school cheerleading?" Stacy asked.

Jenna widened her mouth giving the biggest grin. "Guess who got into the cheerleading squad?"

"You got into the cheerleading squad? On the first day? Congratulations!" Stacy clapped her hands together, cheerfully.

"Thanks. I was literally informed half an hour before the tryout. I was so nervous. There were literally so many things happening in just one day. It was kind of bizarre." Jenna described.

"I always knew you were a cheerleader at heart." Stacy winked.

"Nah! I'm only doing it to feel closer with you." She informed.

"Really?" She was surprised.

"Yeah!" Jenna nodded.

"Wow, you truly are an amazing friend." She appreciated it with a huge smile on her face.

"Yeah, I know." Jenna agreed to show some sass as both girls bursted into laughter.

"What colour is the cheerleading outfit." Stacy couldn't help but ask.

"It's blue." Jenna described.

"Like Riverdale," Stacy questioned.

"No, a bit different," Jenna answered. "Also there's this really cute guy called James, he's really nice and.... yeah," Jenna said blushing.

"And... Yah." Stacy mocked her best friend in a high pitched voice. "Ohhh, are you suggesting that you have a crush?" Stacy asked with a smug smirk appearing on the corner of her lips.

"I hope not! I heard he's a player. And I'm his new target, according to the girls and the entire school. I still can't work out my feelings for him but at the same time I don't want to." Jenna explained breathlessly.

"Okay... Jenna, whatever you do, don't fall for a player! Just don't do it. Okay? I don't want you to get hurt." Stacy advised.

"Like you know anything about players?" Jenna rolled her eyes.

"Of course I do. My dad used to be one of them." Stacy shrugged calmly while Jenna spat out the remaining water from her mouth back into the glass she was holding. Which caused Stacy to burst into laughter. "Yeah, I forgot to mention that one."

Jenna was suddenly alarmed "Wait! How's everything with-"

"My mum left this morning. My dad is home now because he's innocent and before you ask I'm fine. I don't want to talk about it and I'm done crying about it." Stacy strictly informed while carrying loads of pain in her chest.

Jenna responded with a sympathetic smile. "Anyway, how was your day?" She quickly changed the subject.

"Fine." Stacy simply lied looking down at her crossed legs, trying to hide her face along with her emotions. "No, it's not." Her subconscious mocked.

"Stacy?" Jenna raised an eyebrow, knowing that her best friend sucked at lying.

"You know... Amber being Amber." The vulnerability laced through Stacy's voice tugging at Jenna's heart.

"She's in your classes!" Jenna exclaimed.

"Sadly," Stacy replied, sounding miserable.

"Oh, God." Jenna was at loss for words, understanding her best friend's struggle. "Remember, you're strong. You can go through anything." Jenna comforted.

"Thanks." Stacy appreciated with a small smile. "But at least, your day sounds pretty awesome. Sounds like you're having so much fun." Stacy admired.

"Yeah but I'm finding the work hard though because what we do here is completely different to what you do there," Jenna explained.

"Hmm... I understand; just keep practising and you'll get there plus you're a really bright student." Stacy advised.

"Thank you." Jenna appreciated.

"So... Is there a guy in your school who's my type," Stacy asked Jenna, changing the topic. Then, instantly Daniel suddenly popped up in Jenna's mind.

"Actually, Yah." Jenna conformed.

"Who is it?" Stacy asked impatiently.

"Hold on," Jenna replied as she searched up the school website to show Stacy a picture of Daniel. She knew that Daniel would definitely be in the basketball team pictures. As soon as she found one of his pictures, she showed it to Stacy.

In the picture, there were a group of boys and one of them specifically stood out to Stacy the most. It was Daniel! The guy in the middle, the best looking guy in the picture in Stacy's opinion. Where he looked like he was in charge of the whole team. He was so chiselled and his biceps looked amazing. Stacy's heart fell when she observed his dark brown hair and puppy brown eyes.

"Which one is it?" Stacy asked, really wishing that Jenna was talking about the guy she saw.

"Which one do you think?" Jenna hinted.

"The one in the middle..." Stacy revealed.

"Yah, Haha," Jenna admitted. Stacy was definitely impressed by how much her best friend knew her.

"So tell me about his personality because I don't just want a pretty boy," Stacy demanded with a sassy tone as she flicked her perfectly straight hair.

"Oh he's a great person, he's really nice, and confident, his jokes are really funny, he even makes the teachers laugh plus he's one of those cool jocks. He's like your Peter Kavinsky. Jenna described as Stacy admired every single description of him. She had never met a guy like him before. Plus all the guys in her grade were cocky and disrespectful, they had this reputation of bringing people down and the jokes they made were deeply offensive. They weren't even funny.

With Jenna, Stacy could never stay quiet but when it's someone from school. She is always clueless on what to say, maybe it's because they don't make her feel comfortable like Jenna does.
