AXEL I wake up in my office to hear sounds coming from my kitchen. I get up, make my way to the kitchen and stand leaning against the doorframe as I see Stella dancing to music I guess only she can hear. It was strange seeing a female other than Nora in my private space and one that was this relaxed, knowing that I was on the floor with them somewhere. AXEL We continue to discuss some of the other things that will need to be seen to and will need some attention over the next week. I think my face pales just as much as Benjamin's does as we hear, "AXEL!! HONEY! AXEL I follow the scent of the young members of my pack until I reach the stream. I stop on a skid as the smell of the young males from my pack goes over the border and into the woods on the other side. STELLA I come awake slowly, as the sun just starts to rise. I am cold but not freezing. I slowly sit up and check myself over. My thigh is sore, but thankfully the gash is still closed and the small cut Mason made with his claw on my chest has finally stopped bleeding. The rest of my chest and arms were covered in small cuts and bruises from the trees and bushes as I ran. I don’t want to see what my cheek or neck will look like as the bruises from Axel and Kelly were only just starting to disappear and now Mason has re-added to them. I rub my arms gently to try to get a little warmth and a bit of circulation into them, but it doesn’t do much; I look around and then down to the ground and remember the beginning of one of the chapters I started to read for history. STELLA Once inside, Hannah uses her passkey to enter the elevator, accessing Axel’s private floor. She then helped me to the guest room and into the bathroom. She then strips me of the clothes I picked up and the bandage from my thigh before getting me to step into the shower. I relax under the warm water as the heat sinks slowly into my skin and then my bones while Hannah disappears for a few minutes. When Hannah returns, she reaches in and turns off the water, making me step out. She then wraps a nice, thick towel around me. I smile a little, as it smells like Axel. Hannah then helps me hobble over to the bed where she has some pyjamas laid out for me. I am a little surprised that they fit as they weren’t my pyjamas. After I had slipped them on, Hannah took a look at the gash on my thigh. She shook her head and walked back into the bathroom. She comes back out a moment later holding a tube of cream. She then replaces the bandage after applying a small amount of the cream. I sigh

STELLA >Flashback continued“I won't. Hey mum, can we make a cake for dessert?” “Do you want to cook one or did you just want to get one that is already made with Happy Birthday nicely written on it in icing?” I stop and stare at her. “MUM! Once we have everything, we walk around laughing and nudging each other as we make our way to the front of the store to pay for everything. As we get to the counter, Mum turns to me and says, “Stella honey, we forgot the soda. Did you want to run back and pick a flavour?” “Okay, mum.” I pass her the basket and head back into the aisles to where all the soda is kept. STELLA After classes, I say goodbye to Sophie, attend history class, and then head back to the pack house to do the rest of the cleaning. I stop for something to eat, and just as I have finished cleaning up my dishes, Nora comes in wearing one of Axel’s shirts again and a big smile on her face. I can’t stop the feeling that my heart has been ripped out as she sees me and smirks. Not wanting to be in the same room as her and reminded that she is enjoying Axel's company, I move to leave the kitchen. As I walk past her, she grabs my arm and growls. “You will stay away from him from now on. He is mine and I will be his queen. You are nothing more than his slave, his property, and therefore, when he marks me, you will be mine as well. When he returns from this business trip, you are to move your crap out of the guest room, off of this floor and out of the pack house. The only time I want to see you is when you are here to clean...
