london boy

There is no freaking way that Hiro saw Spencer just now. Maybe he’s just missing Spencer. That’s why he thought it was him. I am a hundred percent sure that Spencer is in London. Of course, he is. His family is there. I’m sure that his parents wanted him to study in one of the finest schools in England.

It just can’t be.

I’m not going to let Spencer ruin my life again, not in this college life. Besides, Nate and I didn’t see him, only Hiro, so there’s still a possibility that it’s not Spencer but only Hiro’s imagination.

Hiro and Spencer were great friends when we were in high school. Maybe Hiro just missed him.

I dusted off my thoughts and we all went back to our respective dorms. I’m pretty hoping that my roommate is already there now. Nate’s room is only two rooms from mine and I’m glad that we are all on the same floor.

As I entered the room, the light was switched on and there were still some paper bags on the counter. I think that my roommate is here since I can hear the water running from the bathroom.

I’m excited about meeting him.

As I waited for him to finish, I looked to see the pantry to see if I had some sweets in there, since Nate didn’t buy us ice cream for dessert. I was checking at the fridge when I heard someone clear his throat.

“Hi,”

I halted when I heard his voice.

It’s familiar.

I put back the chocolate and slowly turned around to face him.

I just hope that I’m wrong. That I am just imagining things. That I am hearing things.

As I faced him, he gave me a grin like a devil and my face dropped.

I wish I could turn back and not wish that I was excited about meeting my roommate. He was not who I was expecting to be. Everything that I said, I take it back.

I clenched my fist because he was grinning at me like he was teasing. He was leaning on the bathroom door with his arms crossed and dressed up in only a white bathrobe as his hair was wet dripping down to his face.

“Miss me?” he teased, and I glared at him. If only I could punch someone right now in the face, he would be the first one. I was just glaring at him and he looked at me with boring eyes. The room was silent, then he rolled his eyes and turned around to go back inside the bathroom, closing the door with a loud thud.

I stomped my feet and walked to where my bed was and climbed onto it. Damn it. This is happening. I was okay that Spencer and I were throwing fire and flames when we were in high school, but I was not expecting him that we would be roommates, because of the fact that we are now living in the same room!

He will make my life miserable again!

Well, I let him, but I’m not letting him do it again. Not this time.

After a while, Spencer returned from the bathroom, dressed in his pajamas. I locked my gaze on him as he hopped into his bed and turned to face me. This little devil just grinned at me like it was nothing.

Is he insulting me right now? Really? This night?

“Okay, Satan’s mistress. Tell me, what’s the catch?” I suddenly asked.

“What catch?”

“Why are you here? Why are you rooming with me? Why aren’t you in London? You were supposed to be there!” I snapped, but there was no emotion for him. I need answers right now. Did he come back just to annoy me even more? Didn’t he already make my life miserable in high school?

He sighs, “Chill, loser. I’m going to answer those. First, I’m here because I enrolled here and I wanted to study here. Second, it’s not my fault that the school put us as roommates. I have nothing to do with it. Third, I just got from London yesterday.”

“You knew that we were going to be living in the same room?!”

“Yes. I saw my name on the bulletin board beside yours and where do you want me to stay then?’

“I- I don’t know! Some hotel or anywhere, but not here.”

He chuckled as he stood up from his bed and fixed his duvet, “You’re stupid. No wonder you only got a 3.0 GPA.” He hissed and climbed to his bed once again, covering his whole body with the comforter.

That’s it.

Being class valedictorian was my goal when I was in high school, but since Spencer and I like to compete in every activity, he got it. I only got second place and he is the only one to blame.

He was about to close his eyes when I rushed onto him and grabbed his wrist. He was taken aback by my actions. I dragged him to the door as soon as he stood up, forcing him to leave, but he protested.

‘What the hell are you doing?!” he yelled,

“Get out!”

“Are you out of your mind?! This is my room too! Kieran, let me go!”

“I was here first!”

I let go of his wrist as he swayed it away from me. When he is out of my grip, he massages his wrists as if I had caused them to bleed.

“You know what, you can have the room by yourself.” He muttered as he walked to his nightstand to grab his phone. I feel guilty for grabbing him, but no words are left in my mouth. I’m speechless and everything escalated quickly. I wanted to apologize but Spencer had already closed the door. I wanted to follow him but my feet wouldn’t even move.

My action just now may be childish, but I can’t help it. Spencer had a mouth and, with that attitude, I can’t help but feel like a super-sensitive type of person. Since I moved to the school where Spencer is, we have never become friends and have only become each other's nightmares.

Damn it. Now I can’t wait for what Spencer might do tomorrow, just for his sweet revenge.
