The Beginning

Five years ago

"Bridgette, Honey. There's someone mom wants to introduce you to, so come downstairs."

In the end, I decided to shut the laptop because I was so busy studying for the final exam. I hurried down the steps.

I could see Mom with someone from a distance. Mom's eyes sparkled with joy as she regarded the young man in front of her. He was so unknown to me that I had no idea who he was. The man appeared to be hiding his face as he cast a long glance downward. And from what I can tell, mom just lately got to know him.

"Hi, Mom. What's up?"

"You took so long, Honey."

"Sorry, Mom. I was a bit preoccupied," I apologized a bit as I said.

Mom grasped my hand and grinned sympathetically. I also grinned. Sincerity be told, my parents smiles usually contagious. I'm not sure why it makes me feel so good to see them pleased.

She announced, "Mom has a surprise." Her eyes were beaming with joy.

"Surprise? And what is that?" I had a question.

Mom's eyes moved. Mom grinned broadly as she continued to look at the man who was still looking down in front of her.

"Him."

I echoed Mom and said, "Him?"

What's wrong with that man. He didn't impress me in any particular way. His frame seemed eerily slender. His attire appeared worn-out as well.

His face wasn't yet visible to me. But there was something about him that really stood out to me. His locks. Yes, his hair does appear to have a smooth texture. The hue is exquisite. Light brown has always been a color I've desired. the same shade of hair as dad.

"He is your brother."

I was somewhat taken aback. Is that correct? Mom certainly wasn't joking. Oh my. I at last ran into him. I found out I have a brother from mum a week ago.

Shocked?

I was, of course.

I just know I'm the lone kid in this household. I couldn't wait to see him as soon as mum said she would bring him. And now we had been reunited.

"Hello, brother. I'm Bridgette. nice to see you." I reached out a hand to him. We had to wait a while. He finally extended his hand, albeit shakily, and I saw it.

He unhooked our hands immediately and said. "Axe. Call me Axe. I'm not used to it."

"May I hug you?" I queried. He quickly looked up, and I wasn't sure what was wrong with my query. He was very attractive, which is something I had never considered before. very attractive His eyes had a distinctive tint.

Oh, I'll just explain. His eyes are a light ash hue in one and a light hazel tint in the other. I may name it heterochromia because I found it really attractive to drown in them.

His lips were flawless, and his eyebrows were extremely thick. How could such a wonderful combination just be visible on his face? Did God truly love his people? I started to feel envious.

"You're so aggressive, Bridgette. You frightened him," Mom cried out in shock.

I simply smiled innocently. I was seeing my older brother for the first time, and I wanted to hug him.

"Honey, let your brother get used to it. Later, feel free to give him a hug."

I snorted in shock, but I nevertheless followed my mother's instructions. That's accurate. Axe might have needed some adjusting.
