Dark Side

Today is Saturday.

It's been six days since that night. The night Axe kicked me out, I never again set foot there, in his room. I didn't even see him for six whole days.

In the mornings Axe would always leave first, leaving breakfast behind, and at night he'd come home so late. Axe seemed to avoid me, as if seeing me wasn't part of his activities anymore.

I myself tried to look unconcerned. What did I do wrong to him anyway? Why did his attitude change so much. For all I know, he's never said that he has any objections to my going to New York tomorrow. I hope my guess isn't right that he's a bit disapproving about me and mom and dad's decision.

Unfortunately, mom and dad won't be able to accompany me tomorrow. Yesterday morning they said goodbye to Uncle Luke's hotel, who is in Bristol celebrating his wedding day with his girlfriend, Denisa. Uncle Luke is dad's close relative and business partner. He's so kind and caring. I'm sure his girlfriend will be very lucky to have Uncle Luke as her husband.

 "Yes, mom. What's up?"

We hadn't seen each other for about a day and mom was already calling me for the third time. How possessive is she?

"Honey, is Axe home yet?"

I glanced at the clock on my phone. I rolled my eyes and sighed softly. It's only nine o'clock at night. There's no way Axe is home. As I said, he's changed a lot lately. Maybe I should talk to him later.

"Not yet, Mom. What's wrong?"

There was a sigh from the other side. Mom seemed to be thinking before answering my question. "His cell phone can't be reached. I don't know. I feel like mom is so worried about your brother. I'm afraid he's doing something crazy." I could clearly hear mom's fearful tone when she spoke to me. Could it really be that Axe was in danger? A mother's instinct is never wrong, right?

"Calm down, Mom. Axe is fine. When he comes home, I'll tell mom."

"All right, Honey. Mom trusts you. Tell him to call mom if he can."

"Yes, Mom. Take it easy."

Bruk!

I had just finished calling mom. The door to my room suddenly burst open, revealing the handsome man we had just talked about. Not as neat as usual. Now Axe's work suit was no longer on his body, only a white shirt with his hands rolled up to the top of his arms. He staggered towards me. His gaze was also unfocused, occasionally closing his eyes, as if he wanted to retrieve the consciousness left behind.

"Don't leave me!" his words sounded like a whisper. I even saw the sadness that was so obvious there.

"Don't leave me, please!" Again, this time I could sense Axe's frustrated tone. No longer striding, he now towered over me. The smell of alcohol wafted out of him as he lowered his head and brought his face closer to mine.

"You still wanna leave me, em?" he whispers sensually followed by a small nibble on my ear.

Suddenly I pushed him away. It was a bit unexpected what he did to me.

"What's wrong with you, huh?" I asked a little emotionally. Because Axe tried to kiss my cheek.

"You're drunk!" I kept pushing him. Trying to get free from him who currently managed to confine me with both hands.

Spontaneously I kicked Axe in the stomach until he backed away so far.

Seeing an opportunity, I quickly got up. Running in the direction where the exit lies.

Damn. My bedroom door was locked. A clatter from Axe's direction caught my attention. Axe, with a sardonic smile, showed me some keys in his hand.

I just realized something, he had planned this. That's why all these heartbreaking events seemed to support his activities.

"Give me back my room key!" I moved closer to him, trying to grab what I needed right now. But it's not that easy. Axe was so tall, I couldn't reach his hand.

"I want you," he said hoarsely. Making my eyes go wide. What does he mean?

"Like that asshole said, I want her, I want to drink her. Yes, me too. I want you. I want to drink you. What do you think, Bri? Would you-"

Plak!

If you're asking if I slapped him. I did. I slapped him. That brash mouth of his needs to be smacked. How could Axe talk to me like that. I'm his little sister. How could he risk my dignity with a brain as low as his crotch?

"Don't you dare—“ My sentence was cut short by Axe's hand around my neck.

My eyes blinked, trying to catch the last of my suddenly lost breath.

"Ax—“ I tried to call his name. Thankfully, he finally came to his senses and released the choke hold. Axe's eyes stared at me wide, as if he wanted to burn me alive. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do but inhale as much oxygen as possible.

"Don't ever refuse me!" said Axe. He grabbed my arm and pushed me onto the bed. In a single jerk my clothes were torn off by him, exposing an innocent part of my body.

What could I do? I could only cry as Axe began to touch inch by inch of my body. Every now and then I tried to resist. But, he came back to strangle me every time I tried to resist him. I don't know what happened to Axe this time. He who I knew to be so shy yesterday suddenly turned into a demon incarnate. The pain he inflicted was no longer a big deal to me, all I wanted was one thing. He finishes his crazy activities against me, where I will wait for him to get tired. After that I could leave quietly.

I vowed never to see his face again.
