SIMONE NIGHTwoke up with scratches on my face70 years passed when i woke up!i told him i missed him he said nothingwoke up this morning and got myself a gun
My father's replanting project, which had extended to a second bed by the afternoon and showed no signs of stopping. Sunday was the easy domestic Sunday that had become the pattern — the penthouse in the morning, Alexander reading, me at the kitchen table with the preliminary notes for a new inquiry that had come through on Friday, the kind of working Sunday that was not work exactly but the contented occupation of a mind that liked having something to turn over. We ate lunch on the terrace in the November cold, wrapped in jackets, because the winter sun was too good to waste. In the afternoon I walked to the Los Feliz bookshop and spent an hour looking at things without buying anything, whi

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

Charlesemma the novel summarybook review of novel emma by jane austenemma white authorthe guest book emma cline
Emma answered the call, still nestled against Jake's side on the couch. "Maya, this better be good, because your timing is" "Em, thank God you answered. Are you sitting down?" Emma felt a chill of premonition. "What's wrong?" "It's not wrong, it's incredible. *The New York Times* just called me. They want to do a feature story on your emotional authenticity breakthrough, and they're considering your manuscript for their fall literary fiction recommendations." Emma stared at Jake, seeing her own shock reflected in his expression.

The New York Times feature published on a Sunday in November. I read it at the kitchen counter in the Capitol Hill apartment at seven in the morning with Eleanor in the carrier against my chest and Julian beside me with his coffee and the Washington November morning outside the window doing what November mornings did which was arrive cold and clear and entirely without apology for what the year had cost to produce them. The feature ran to four thousand words.

This is the kind of story that lingers in your mind long after you close the app. The story deserves far more recognition than it's getting because the author knows exactly how to keep readers emotionally hostage....️

To anyone settling for crumbs of love. I would recommend this story. Natalie proved that losing someone who never valued you isn’t a loss…it’s freedom. One of the most emotionally satisfying stories I’ve read so far. Once again I recommend reading this blockbuster story. Kudos to the author.

About it was a good day's work in the voice that was actually his voice. "I think so," she said. "I think that's the — I think that might be the whole problem." Her mum was quiet. "Or," her mum said gently, "it might be the whole point." She spent the afternoon doing the things that Sundays were for. Laundry. A walk proper, aimless, the kind she'd been doing since she moved to New York and was still discovering things on, the city revealing itself in layers the way cities did when you moved through them slowly enough to actually see. She found a bookshop she hadn't known existed three blocks from her apartment and spent forty minutes in it and came out with two books she hadn't planned to bu

“Did you read the Sunday Times arts section yesterday?” “No, I was taking a day off. What did they say?” “Nothing good. Not only the Los Angeles Times, but we were also creamed in the New York Arts section and Publishers Daily. Here, look.” Anna scanned through the sections. Each one was filled with negative comments about the book and personal attacks on the author. “How did this happen? No one called me for comments. It’s all one-sided. We only handed out a few preview copies. How was this possible that so many reviewers jumped on it so fast?”
