Chapter 155: Drowning

Arya’s POV

“Had dinner? I ordered takeouts”

Damien’s voice drew my attention from the man walking into the villa. I turned to face him but my eyes were glued to the white bags held up in both hands.

“Sounds good”

There was an awkward air around us, well at least for me. I’ve found it hard to communicate with him after that epic failed proposal. I mean, I practically ran away without a response so it’s kinda weird for me now.

Nevertheless he was here so I might as well entertain him. My mood was barely hanging on so there wasn’t much smiles on my face, just occasionally when needed.

“Over here” I ushered him to a resting area with a table set up. In my heart I released a sigh of joy knowing he didn’t order any seafood. To be specific we were having spicy chicken and I doubt it’s the spiciness that prevented us from chatting. In actuality there was really nothing to talk about.
