Ethan's Point of View

"This is the worst state I have ever seen a Pack in," Don said as he walked over to me. We had been walking around the Midnight Pack, speaking to the members for hours and it was getting dark. Most were too afraid to tell us what was going on in the pack. Only eleven pack members would speak about the maltreatment they had been enduring, including Layla. They wouldn't say much. All they did was say they didn't want to be there anymore and that was all we needed to hear. We told them they could come with us and that they would be safe. What upset me the most was that a lot of the women were forced to be with men who weren't their mates.

"I know. I can't believe this has been going on for so long," I replied.

"I can't help but feel this is my fault. I am the king, and I should have known this was happening. The werewolves are supposed to trust that they can tell me when something bad is happening, but they didn't," my dad said. I hated that he was blaming himsel
