I Was Stupid

“Why do you want to meet up?” Noah asked the woman beside him. They were seated in a bar, a glass of vodka before them. “I’m asking you, Melissa.”

She shifted in her chair, her short skirt riding up her thighs. She was dressed in an overly short skirt and blouse that did little or nothing to cover up her parts.

“Brother Noah.”

“It’s a question, if you wanted to meet up properly, you should have invited me to a restaurant or anywhere else than a fucking bar.” He’d been busy working when he received a call from Melissa. She pleaded with him for a meeting and even went as far as to threaten to jump off the bridge if he didn’t show up.

“I wanted to talk.”

“About?”

“Do you really hate me now, Brother Noah? I didn’t do all of those on purpose.”
